As a parent, I'm not impressed with this school at all. My family and I moved to Sarasota when our daughter was in the eighth grade. I am currently a student graduating next year. This school has had a few ups and downs but its still a very good school. Its clean, great teachers, great staff. Just needs a few improvements and thats all.

Sarasota High goes above and beyond to prepare students for college and life as adults in general. The campus is clean, modern, and well kept. I've truly enjoyed my time there.

Raised children in Ohio and at Sarasota High, and found the curriculum at SHS to be more challenging. However, administrative issues, including 3 different principles in 5 years, make for a negative, non-supportive learning environment.

SHS has been a varied experience for my junior child. He/she has a large number of AP and Honors classes available and has done well in them. I have been pleased so far with the education here. I believe it has to be a good school because of the competition of Riverview nearby, which we will be now attending because of a lateral move.
