Indian Peaks Charter School is without a doubt the best choice for our family. After a brief enrollment at another public school in town, we were glad to find out about IPCS. The mixed aged classrooms provide for a growth and true understanding of knowledge that is so important--older children get to show leadership and demonstrate true understanding by teaching, whereas the younger children learn to work with different ages and solve problems by observing their older peers. The teachers and staff are also the epitome of passion and positive leadership that is often hard to find in today's public schools. We love that there is lots of physical education and it all happens outdoors--skiing, snowboarding, running, and more practical and fun skills are learned. We really cannot encourage families to consider this school enough...its not a big fancy school, but it is a small extraordinary school where involvement is encouraged, new ideas are welcomed, and passion and kindness overflow.

Our son is a kindergartener at IPCS. He is the oldest sibling and we had a choice where to send him. We chose Indian Peaks for its personable class sizes and unique subjects such as K-8 French and Cooking (not to mention he gets personal violin lessons once a week at school, too!). I was told IPCS had elevated benchmarks for its teachers and students, which determined our final decision - but it has proved to be so much more than all this. The teachers at IPCS show sincere interest and support in what my son (and each of the children) is trying to achieve. The communication between all of his teachers and myself/husband, including the other parents, has been easy and effective. The board has been extremely responsive to my son s special diet and more than accommodating as it altered special party menus so that my son can enjoy the special treats with the other kids. The kids seem especially respectful and are the reason why my son finally loves school! Also, from a grass-roots view, this school is awake! They use only natural cleaning products and have plans for a greenhouse which will open even more doors to health and life-success for my son and all of the IPCS students. .

We were late-comers into the IPCS family entering in the midst of the second semester. Staff enthusiastically welcomed us anyway and quickly initiated school-mandated IEPs for our boys. What a caring, friendly, and deeply passionate staff at IPCS. T/S ratios are excellent as well. Lots of personal attention. Much better than our brief experience at the other elementary alternative.

Indian Peaks Charter School not only has been, but remains today a great school producing bright young citizens, most of which are in advanced placement classes when they enter high school. They offer a five day school week with shorter hours and less homework, while still providing my kids with the education that they deserve. The teachers at IPCS are very caring, committed, wonderful people and I truly believe that they are making a positive difference in the lives of my children, myself, and the other students that attend IPCS. The school was recently awarded grant money for smart boards to be installed in every classroom and is in the process of having them installed. As a parent, I find that being allowed and encouraged to be involved with my child's education on a daily basis is one of the best things that could have happened for all of us! The learning that is happening in front of me is amazing and I'm proud to say that my kids are at IPCS!
