Read what parents are saying about Sheridan High SchoolThe social emotional support and academic rigor at SHS are excellent.
Posted by a parent on 2/2/2023The school is on the smaller side but it is still a great school.... students can be a little tough to deal with at times but its gonna be the same at any other school you go to.
Posted by a parent on 4/2/2022I used to go to this school (I moved to a better one) and it was so terrible, it made me have so much anxiety I missed more than 2 weeks in a row.The students are disrespectful, the teachers didn't do anything about it. I think if they had stronger, firmer teachers and principals, maybe the students would act better.
Posted by a community member on 1/28/2014When I went to this school (for 4 years) the teachers were incredible but then they laid off a large portion of their staff. I do not feel that I grew academically or socially while enrolled in this school. I also feel that they let students graduate without teaching them standard curriculum and therefore do not prepare students for college. I do not recommend this district for your children.
Posted by a community member on 1/31/2013I'm currently a freshman at Sheridan High and am hoping to transfer after first semester. Though the small class sizes and family like culture is great, the academics are terrible. We have some of the lowest test scores in Colorado. According to http://www.schooldigger.com, we rank number 261 of 305. Tell me that's not embarrassing. They're too focused on the negativeness of the school and trying to hard to fix the issues. All in all, I would definitely not send your child to Sheridan High School. I'd personally try Littleton Public Schools.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is one of the better elementary Denver Public Schools. My daughter attended there K-5 and my son currently attends there. It is a large elementary school so keep that in mind. 20-25 student to teacher ratio per class. There has been one principal there in 10 years so there is stability in leadership. Teachers and staff are great. Plenty of opportunities for parent involvement throughout the year. I feel school helps nurture and prepare them academically for middle school. COVID years made it tough for all schools, but this school navigated through it I believe because of leadership from the principal and staff.Parent Review1y ago - Abn Christian School
