Read what parents are saying about Vista Ridge High SchoolEquality is out the window in this school. The Deen does not have a caring bone. Not even one metatarsal.
Posted by a parent on 9/26/2023This school is very boring and the teachers here usually don’t teach the subject well. I have token multiple AP courses here and I gotta say the teachers need to be investigated as they barely prepare for the actual exam. Not only that, but most of the students here are either depressed or something. There are almost no emotional support for students in need and that is concerning. The adults here really don’t care of the students learning experience.
Posted by a student on 6/29/2023This school is really unsafe, my child gets bully here a ton. I have contacted the principle “Becky” about it, but she hasn’t done anything about the situation. Not to mentions my child has also reported the incident to teachers, yet they didn’t care enough to get the message. Also, the teachers here has been reported for misconduct and harassment to students. At least that what my child says.We are now moving to another school that is safer and have better learning experience.
Posted by a parent on 6/18/2023I think the school is great, especially the Afjrotc Team col Breedlove, and Msgt Tompson are awesome instructors I would definitely recommend Afjrotc.
Posted by a parent on 8/9/2022Really great school. Kind of like a charter school. Very strict but awesome teachers. I love it. My child is going to Berkley and my child who graduated last year went to Stanford. Really great for college readiness

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo be fair and clear I am providing this feedback on several teachers who are teaching 3rd grade. Principal is attempting to be supportive but the school is struggling. School is understaffed. The size of my son's classroom is 27 kids and his teacher is incapable of establishing instructional control over the classroom. There are several kids in the class who are on some sort of a support plan but leave early so teacher is not required to have assistant. My son has been receiving only one page math homework for about half of his year and no other study materials besides being told to read and go over 10 spelling words. Teacher majorly failed at every aspect of communication with me and the only time she would communicate was to notify me that my son's behaviors has been progressing (without telling me a full story). We are hoping for better forth grade and better teacher but if that does not happen we plan on switching schools. The only thing that is holding me back from changing schools is my son begging me not to leave his friends.Parent Review1y ago - Freedom Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been going to Freedom since 2021, enrolling in the Pre-K program. He spent two years in Pre-K and is now in Kindergarten. His pre-K teachers were/are amazing and his K teacher this year is also wonderful. The school’s email/text/call communication has been impressive through the front office and with each of the teachers too. The principal, Dr. Williams, is always in a classroom or spending time chatting with parents- making sure we all know about any upcoming parent involvement dates. Now that my son is in K his options for after school events or clubs has really opened up and he’s really enjoyed all the new opportunities for specialized learning/events.Teacher Review3mo ago - Stetson Elementary School

Kids said they were happy in school and received help whenever needed. Teachers communicate really well. We had no trouble with bullying whatsoever. My children were academically thriving, received extra help when needed. I would recommend this school.Parent Review2y ago - Ridgeview Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are some good programs and some good teachers and employees at this school, but...Why is chaos allowed to ensue? Why are bullies not dealt with?Where is accountability when it comes to inappropriate behavior? What does zero tolerance for bullying even mean if the bullies aren't held accountable for their hurtful and disruptive behavior? No student should have to be afraid in their own classroom. Teachers should be required to maintain control and discipline in the classrooms. Always. Unfortunately, there are no effective consequences for the bullies in this school. Are the teachers and administrators in this school empowered to make a difference for their students who become victims to the bullies? No.Other Review1y ago - Colorado Springs Academy
