Read what parents are saying about Ranch Creek Elementary SchoolIt's been a good experience and comparatively speaking it's a good public school.
Posted by a parent on 9/2/2018There is one counselor for an overcrowded school. Bullying is often unnoticed and unaddressed. If it is brought to the retiring Principal's attention it is addressed, but not noticed much prior. This is an IB school, and participates in Spanish Immersion. If your child is not self-motivated and needs structure, this is not your school. School is clean and organized, and I will say that the teachers really care. However, teachers are often out and classroom management leaves much to be desired. Music dept. programs are phenomenal but parts are not equally distributed and clearly the kids with talent are singled out. They had a great P.E. teacher but he is gone and the new one is having trouble settling in. If you are hoping for Spanish Immersion start your child early, don't wait.
Posted by a parent on 10/31/2017Ranch Creek has amazing teachers and staff. My kids have learned so much and the IB program has really impressed me and adds a much needed character education emphasis to the school. Very happy!
Posted by a parent on 1/14/2017the administration is horrible - favoritism and behind the scenes drama spoils the feel of the school. Their behavior program is not working - bullying is common - hildren get shoved and pushed to the ground without any long term consequences - no money spent on Playground improvement or PE equipment or ground maintenance instead all is poured into their expensive computer systems - principal is not approachable and favors certain teachers over others - there are some great teachers but they are crippled by a controlling administration. Someone wrote about french immersion - there is no such thing - it is a spanish immersion IB school - my child did not feel safe during recess - we chose to switch schools this semester.
Posted by a parent on 10/4/2015Ranch Creek is a great school. The teachers are friendly and helpful. And the office staff are kind and supportive to all. Wishing you all, parents and students included, a Happy Thanksgiving.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been going to Freedom since 2021, enrolling in the Pre-K program. He spent two years in Pre-K and is now in Kindergarten. His pre-K teachers were/are amazing and his K teacher this year is also wonderful. The school’s email/text/call communication has been impressive through the front office and with each of the teachers too. The principal, Dr. Williams, is always in a classroom or spending time chatting with parents- making sure we all know about any upcoming parent involvement dates. Now that my son is in K his options for after school events or clubs has really opened up and he’s really enjoyed all the new opportunities for specialized learning/events.Teacher Review3mo ago - Rocky Mountain Montessori Academy

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have seen my son and his schoolmates from Legacy Peak interact with kids the same age from other schools. What is made apparent quite quickly is how independent they are and how advanced their critical thinking and problem solving is. Leaps above their typical age. I am so happy my son goes here. They don't just teach them math, reading, writing, science, and social studies, they use Project Based Learning to apply that knowledge to real world examples. We love it here.Parent Review6mo ago
