Great Teachers and Caring Staff. Our Daughters have excelled in their grades and have learned a lot at Whittier Christian. Our Daughters love the school and have made many friends. The children are nice and caring and there is parent involvement in many different activities. We are very fortunate to have found Whittier Christian.

The two recent reviews below both mentioned bullying so I wanted to share my experience. The fact is no matter what school you go to, bullying cannot be avoided. Kids can be mean which means that the teachers and staff have to be vigilant. I don't disagree with that. However my experience with bullying was very different from the comments below. My very shy daughter was bullied and the matter was taken care of quickly by the staff because another parent notified the school from what she saw even before I could hear about it. There was a plan even before I approached the staff about it. It was taken care of quickly which involved the principal talking to all parties. I just love how the whole school including the school staff and parents take ownership of every child in the school. Its a great school with strong academics and spiritual grounding in a family atmosphere. I know my kids will grow up prepare for the world, well-rounded as a person with life long friends.

I have the same problem with my child attending WCS maybrook. She has been bullied by another student who has had and keeps having problems with other children how many incidents more need to occur till they dismiss the student. Very unhappy and will be transferring my child to a different school.

I am a parent of a girl attending this school. We were OK until my daughter came home complaining that she had been bullied by another older student in the afterschool program and the incident had been dismissed very fast. Academically seems to go on a slower pace than I am use to see. Also worrisome of the teaching. My daughter came home saying that "she is ready to die to meet Jesus". That's what she learned that day. To me it seems a little too much for little kids.
