Read what parents are saying about Lang RanchThe school is really big, with so many kids it can seem overwhelming. 4-5 classes in each grade, with close to 30 kids in each class. But the academia is rigorous, the campus is tidy and the kids come from affluent families. There are enrichment classes after school that are paid out of pocket but offer great opportunities for sports, chorus, ceramics and art.My daughter is learning a lot but also is frustrated not getting to go to snack/recess until journal writing is completed. All in all we are happy with how much she is learning and is being challenged.
Posted by a parent on 9/14/2022This is a wonderful school. Those other negative reviews are obviously allowed their opinion, but they have NO idea what a 1-star or 2-star school is really like. The teachers are wonderful, the staff care about the students and the atmosphere is very nurturing. I have spoken with many other parents from other areas and other schools and Lang Ranch clearly navigated the turbulent pandemic waters extremely well. We are so glad to have our kids attend this school. Keep up the wonderful work!
Posted by a parent on 5/24/2022School condones the constant henpecking by its families toward each other. The school facebook page has parents calling each other out. Even putting up pictures and license plate numbers. The teachers care about looking good academically not the students.
Posted by a parent on 1/3/2020Phenomenal school. My kids have been nurtured and challenged in positive ways. They love going to school and they are very prepared for middle school.
Posted by a parent on 2/28/2019I'm sorry to read the negative experiences of the last reviewer, but I couldn't disagree more. It has been a wonderful community for my family. Every single school your child will ever attend will ask for donations. The parents who complain about this are also the parents who complain when music or visual arts or P.E. is cut. This is a public school subject to California state budget cuts. If you want those things offered to your child, funds must be raised to pay for it. Try going to the Oak Park school district where parents are asked to pay $400 per child each year. What Lang Ranch asks is nothing in comparison. And yet... I have *NEVER* made a donation to the school. I'll say it again *NEVER*. Not because I don't think it's deserved, but because I'm just not able to do it financially. My kids have still been placed with great teachers, our "standing" in the school has never been affected. And no, I don't have time to volunteer often in the classroom. But I do make efforts to get to know the teachers, show my face, and make sure he/she knows my child well...that's what matters. Not the money. With regard to the "fancy parents" comment....when we first started I also had this pre-conceived idea of who would be at this school. I had my guard up and was prepared to fill like I was "keeping up with the Jones". I was shocked to find how very few "fancy parents" there are. The vast majority of parents down to earth, hard working, regular people. Bottom line - beautiful campus, top notch teaching staff, caring community. My kids are thriving and we are quite satisfied with our school experience.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWood Ranch elementary is an excellent school. By fourth grade my child was making PowerPoint presentations and learning to recite poetry in front of their class. I do wish the school district would have an extensive extracurricular program like our neighboring school district (school band, choir, drama, etc), however despite the lack of enrichment, this school is excellent. Every child has their own computer they take home, PE weekly, dance and art classes when the PTA funds it. The library is huge and amazing. The parents are very involved and the principle and teachers are excellent.Parent Review3mo ago - Ladera Stars Academy

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI cannot say enough good things about Ladera! My son has been going to this school since kindergarten. We has Autism and started out in their Special Education Class and by 3rd grade was fully mainstreamed into General Education. He is a whole different child from when he was first diagnosed, and I credit a lot of it to the support Ladera has given him. He will be starting 5th grade in the next few weeks, and I am very sad it will be his last year at Ladera. The teachers are all amazing as is all the support staff.Parent Review8mo ago - Weathersfield Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHow this school has not been on our radar before this year is beyond me. It is an absolute GEM and our children thrive here. They focus on character and don't just 'talk the talk' but also walk the walk. The principles of family, faith, and character are what is so needed today, and it is taught in ways that are subtle, yet meaningful. The pride in their work after the day and the things they share with us is beyond anything I could have wished for in my kids as people, and academically. They do not teach to the masses, but instead tailor to your child and where they are in their education journey. We have an older daughter at a large christian high school, and this school would have been exactly what we wanted for her to prepare for that. Education is huge for us, along with faith and family, and our kids are not getting lost in worksheets, but rather challenged exactly where they are in their own journey and are growing in their faith. They also focus on self-accountability, a lost art with kids today. They believe in work, hard work, and taking accountability for your actions. We love this school so much, and will share on every review platform we can, because this place is unlike any other. They take the kids on real-world experiences to grow their understanding of the community around them. It is such a blessing after so many places in the area that simply have the bright and shiny, yet lose their kids and focus in the sea of keeping up with the Jones's. THANK YOU to the Academy for what they are/have done for our family, it is refreshing, and we could not be happier.Parent Review7mo ago - Trinity Pacific Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRecently, graduated from the school and all I gotta say is what a terrible school. The principal Katherine Smith, terrible, worst principal you can ask for. She will say and do whatever for her own personal gain. DONT TRUST HER. Now, the Murphys are just as bad if not worse. If your currently In just pull your kids out or if your planning on attending don't.Other Review6mo ago - St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School

We transitioned from the public school to St Patrick's and have been thrilled for both the academic rigor, as well as the culture and spiritual and social mentoring of our child.Parent Review5mo ago - Meadows Arts And Technology Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school with extraordinary teachers! The teachers here really care about the students. They take the time to go over progress and concerns with parents and make individualized suggestions based on the same. The scores and academics speak for themselves in that arena. Grateful to be part of this school community!Parent Review8mo ago
