Read what parents are saying about St. Peter's SchoolMy children (boys) have grown both academically and spiritually since attending this school. They look forward to the close bond they have found with friends and teachers. The close knit community makes this school great!
Posted by a parent on 6/6/2018I am of the class of 2014 and only attended from 6th-8th grade but I can guarantee that my time here was a blessing. Without St. Peter's, I wouldn't be the person I am today. Without their hospitality and kindness mixed with a great quality education I wouldn't be graduating from Archbishop Riordan. They provided me the skills, education, and faith to become the best possible student, person, and Christian I could possibly be.
Posted by a community member on 2/5/2018I have a 2nd grader hear at this school and she loves it... She loves going to school every day and learn something new.she's had a hard time with reading and spelling but what is helping her so much is this program they have called catapult. The teachers are very supportive. I so recommend this school to familys that want there children to learn religion and have a good education at the same time. They are also affordable.
Posted by a parent on 9/27/2016We are a new family and have been happy so far. My daughter is happy and everyone has been so welcoming. She is currently in First Grade and she is excited to go to school everyday. We are also happy with their after school program Buena Vista Children's Center. The school is so affordable and especially for families who have more than one student enrolled. It's a hidden gem.
Posted by a parent on 9/26/2016I am currently a student at St. Peter's school going into 7th grade. This school has been a huge part of my life since the first grade. Ever since then, i have been able to realize my full potential not only as a student, but as the future of Amercia. In these nearly 7 years of being a part of the St. Peter's family, i have learned so so much acedemically, and mentally. I have learned most everything i know now, from this school. Everything from how to read and write, to how to convert unit quantity into money, and how the American revolution started and ended. I have also learned more social skills than i can count. From saying please and thank you, to minding when and when not to speak. St. Peter's is where i have met life-long friends and stick with me throughout everything and always have my back. St. Peter's is the home of the Aztecs, where i have also learned how to play my favorite sports, volleyball and basketball. These sports have teached me not only how to play the sport, but it has also taught me leadership and teamwork skills as well... St. Peter's has been an amazing experience and a great part of my life.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had such high hopes for this school, but unfortunately our experience was incredibly horrible. Our son attended the elementary school for 2 years, and did not learn anything during this time. And by anything, I mean he did not advance a single grade level and actually regressed. In fact, on the last day when we brought home his school supplies, his notebooks were completely empty. This should have been a red flag for us, but we hung in there and tried again for a second year thinking it would get better. Since leaving the school, he has advanced significantly and is performing at or above his grade level. KMS is progressive (which is one reason why we fell in love with it in the first place) and allow the children to choose what they want to learn. This all sounds great, however in actuality the children are left for themselves to roam the school building doing whatever they please. If they don't want to do work, they don't have to do any work. The teachers do not have control over the classes and the children run the show (I have seen this first hand.) There is nothing good about KMS elementary school. The preschool and after school care works well because they basically are just babysitters for your children. If you want your children to actually learn something at school, this place is not for you.Parent Review3y ago - Synergy School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI vividly recall my 1st tour of Synergy. There was laughter and smiles from children in the halls and play spaces. It felt airy and vibrant at the same time. Children’s art lined the walls, there were posters of banned books hung upstairs, and there was a presentation of a recent trip to Nicaragua. And, I thought, YES, this is the school for my son! However, the most prominent sensation I felt while I toured Synergy was the sense of safety. This stands out because I never experienced feeling safe in school. I was born and raised in SF’s southeast and I attended SF’s public schools at the height of the crack epidemic. My community witnessed the devastating effect of addiction, violence, grief, and constant loss. Research shows that it’s hard to learn when you feel scared… My son and I still live in the southeast. The same schools that I attended surround us. In my heart, I knew he needed to experience a different way of learning. I was thrilled beyond words when Synergy accepted us.My son started Synergy as a shy and sensitive child. But I could tell, he felt safe here too. He felt safe to explore, to mess up, to speak up, to get dirty, to laugh, and to be sad and scared, as we all felt in the last few years. All this, he was able to experience in community with you all. Today, I have witnessed the beauty of him blossoming and transforming into a confident young brown man. Tremendously held by a solid foundation that Synergy provides, from its agreements, to teachers and staff, to mixed grade learning, and of course, by his posse of friends, who he considers family. What a blessing it is to be part of the Synergy family. It is our hope that other families also experience the beauty of watching their child thrive in their own unique way, in the amazing urban sanctuary that Synergy is for us.Parent Review1y ago
