Read what parents are saying about San Diego Center For Children AcademyI would rate it a 0/10. this school is awful and does not help the students. They blame students for being upset and treat them like burdens. They do not listen to their needs or complaints. All they care about is a paycheck and not their students well being.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHORRIBLE! this was the worst experience we have ever had with a school!, or with anything! My son had anxiety, seizures they would physically restrain him and shove me out of the office, they would keep him in the nurses office for HOURS instead of having me pick him up! He ended up in the ER a few times due to his being mistreated. He has chased me down the street as I drove off, I found him lying on the side walk scraped up and crying, if I didn't see him in my rear view mirror I would have never known he had left campus as I never received a call! And if you try to get help the principal will retaliate, I am NOT the first person she has retaliated against either. My reviews always get deleted. wondering how long this will stay this time. Also, ask around the neighborhood. So many parents I have met are upset about the way this school is run. Do not Trust ANYONE at this school. I trusted them to help us, but in the end my child ended up having to have therapy from the way he was treated. By the way, look at the 4 stars, they are from 5+ years ago. I will never forget or forgive the experience we had there.Parent Review5y ago - Linda Vista Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIgnore the ratings, I am just here to say that this website is misclassifying the boundary lines for the assigned elementary school here in San Diego. Ladrillo Street in 92111 is assigned to Chesterton Elementary school per the San Diego unified school district website, but this website is saying it is in the zone for Linda Vista Elementary School. That is incorrect. Not sure where the data is coming from.Parent Review4mo ago - Ross Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had mixed feelings about this school. On the one hand, it seemed to be a good fit for my middle schooler. She was brand new & was welcomed right in. She is a creative artsy tech type & I feel really thrived here in this smaller environment. I was really attracted to the whole child inclusive approach. But it wasn’t the same welcoming vibe for my 1st grader unfortunately, & that tainted everything for me. They promoted a great special education team with an inclusive approach. I have read all about inclusion models specifically for autism & was thrilled to finally find a school that seemed to offer this & truly embrace difference. It looked great on paper. But apparently they mean those that are a little quirky, aka, the “easier to handle” kids. My child is a happy animated little girl, she just needs some extra accommodation. There is too much nuance to fit here, but in a nutshell they (particularly one staff member) made us feel so small, like we’d be burdening them if we chose to keep her there, were told that their enrollment admin was new, implying he shouldn’t have enrolled her, that of course they’d have to legally accommodate her but “to be honest I’m not sure this will work out”, & because of the strict mask policy she would be separated from her class, not allowed to play on the playground or really do anything fun the school had to offer because of her sensory aversion to keeping any kind of mask on her face (not for lack of trying). So basically my child who is already so othered in her life would be further ostracized. I am for masks, but this is supposed to be accommodated for. I did not process this all fully until later, I walked out of there just crying in defeat. We could have fought this, but after the encounter we felt so discouraged we pulled her right out & continued homeschooling as we had been. We wanted her to experience what her sister had, but felt she’d have been miserable there being made to watch everyone else experience all the perks of this school while being isolated in one of the dreary back trailers. And let me tell you, this school is colorful & alluring for a little kid like her. She was upset to leave without getting to play on the playground like the other kids. I wanted to pull my older child out too, but felt it wouldn’t be fair to her, so we stuck it out. Needless to say, the year was very bittersweet. We ended up moving out of the area so she won’t be returning next year anyway.Parent Review1y ago - Child's Primary, The

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are so thankful we found The Child’s Primary School and that it is so close to home in Clairemont. Our daughter started kindergarten there this year and it has been a wonderful experience. The staff are all so amazing, caring, excellent at what they do and adored by the kids. I’m amazed every day how excited our daughter is to go to school. The kindergarten curriculum is age appropriate, creative, fun and still challenging, with a big focus on reading, and helping students to learn to love reading and love learning overall, which I love.Parent Review5mo ago - San Diego Center For Children Academy
