Both my 4 year old and 2 year old go to Kirk and they both LOVE Kirk. The teachers and staff truly care about the kids and you really feel you're part of the school community.

Lots of good, but some areas need improvement

Our daughter has been at Kirk for K-4 and every year we are very happy with the choice. The teachers and administration are excellent, caring, responsive, and committed to the child's learning and development. Our daughter loves learning and loves going to school. She is friends with everyone there and admires her teachers. The few problems we've had over the years have been immediately listened to and addressed. The facilities are in good shape and they're refurbishing the entire playground. Fundraising does occur but it's always low pressure and worthwhile. The tuition is reasonable, especially compared to other private schools in the area, and we really feel like it's been worth the cost. The school really cares and accommodates all kinds of kids and brings out the best in them. I can't say enough about how great the teachers are at inspiring a love of learning, teaching with high standards, and making each child feel accepted and part of the community.

My kids have been at Kirk since they were in Kindergarten, and they have both loved it. Exposure to so many different learning experiences in a very secure, warm environment provides them with a genuine childhood that is otherwise difficult to find in Los Angeles. Both my kids have loved every one of their teachers and can't wait to go back to school at the end of summer! If you want your child to develop a confidence within themselves & a love of learning then this is your place.

I think this is the best school in the valley. My son was here in preschool and now in the elementary. The teachers are great, nurturing and yet they teach them how to communicate and be selfsufficient. The programs are so wonderful teaching them at a young age about arts for example (about famous painters) and other. The kindergarten is awesome with an unheard of teacher/child ratio. The teachers are so involved and they really care about the progress of every child going the extra mile to make sure everyone learns. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and you just feel great just walking through the doors and meeting people. The parents are welcome to volunteer, no closed doors. In our classroom there were several kids that came later in the year from various other schools because they couldn't accomodate. Here they fit right in and after a week they were smiling and you could see their confidence. I feel so fortunate that I found this school.
