Heritage Christian School

Our experience at Montessori on the Lake has been exceptional! From our very first visit, we knew our children would thrive in this safe and nurturing environment with passionate teachers. Coming from public school, we've seen remarkable changes in our children's confidence, independence, and love for learning. What sets this school apart is their holistic approach, their attention to developing the emotional well being of the child, and community building. They offer engaging field trips - recently to JPL and the La Brea Tar Pits, plus a fantastic annual trip for the upper elementary and middle school students. Not to mention they have a school library, computer lab, kitchen, and theatre where children perform in annual plays. They are also learning Spanish! Montessori on the Lake is one of the rare Montessori schools that go through 8th grade, providing continuity in education, which is great for children. The staff's warmth and dedication create a wonderful community here. I wish there were more Montessori schools like this. If you are looking for an education that creates self starters, teaches independence and how to build relationships and work together, as well as a child-led learning - look no further!

Overall, Abiding Savior is a great school. The teachers are caring/loving towards the students. The one thing I would improve is having classes like the GATE classes in the public school. Or, some kind of program where the advanced kids can get harder work.
