I’ve been in this school ever since Freshman year, believe me it’s not what you think. The office staff are very disrespectful. Some of the teachers are very snappy and impatient, or they just don’t care enough for the students. I’m now in my senior year and I’m honestly not prepared for anything and I’m in an ABSS program. The teacher there was suppose to help me but he didn’t do that. The bullying and harassment was so bad to the point I had to transfer out of the school, and enroll to another one. It’s sad how this school is suppose to be safe and care for students mental health concerns aren’t being taken care of. The only respectful staff I have encountered were my psychology teacher, world history,US history and art teacher so far. The staff in Student Services are nice as well but that’s all I have encountered. Some security are nice too but that’s all. I wish I could say better for this school but I can’t for my time there. I really can’t.

Knowing what I know now, and seeing my daughter's progress in a different local high school, I would not have sent my learning disabled son to Cosumnes Oaks High School. I recommend that other parents of learning disabled students look elsewhere as well.

Cosumnes Oaks High School is an amazing school. The teachers are great, they really show that they care for you and want the best out of you. If you are struggling they most likely will help guide you in the right direction. The campus is very nice and for the most part very well maintained. They have great programs such as AVID, Colonary Arts, Architectural Academy, and Broadcast Journalism. And not to forget, the students are really like a family.

I graduated at class of 2012, so as the first class of all four years I found that choosing this school is one of the best decisions I've made. The teachers really do care about you excelling and learning all you can. I recommend other students to take the AP courses because while challenging, the teachers prepare you quite well and create an atmosphere excellent for learning. The facilities are clean and organized. The staff members are friendly and helpful. An honorable mention must go to the Visual and Performing Arts department, for they teach their students to behave professionally and do their best not just in their specialties but in the other aspects of their life as well. All in all, I had a wonderful experience at COHS and I believe their programs, performances, academics, sports, etc can only get better and better.

This is an incredible school! The teachers are great and really care about their students. The atmosphere is not intimidating and has an overall pleasant feel whenever I come visit. So much resource is available to the students so there is no excuse for mediocre performance. Sports teams are open to all perhaps because of the small population but it affords the students to find at least one sport they enjoy. Being a fairly new school, stats and scores are not exactly exemplary as of now but I have every confidence that as the school gets a foothold on these, it's rating will be even more impressive. Even thought my family doesn't live in the area I am happy to drive the 8 miles to get my kids to this school and back. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make because I believe in the potential of this school.
