" ... like for a majority of children with extreme learning and social-emotional differences without the staff knowing it or being trained for it.

We love Hillel and are very pleased with our children's' education.

My eldest just graduated Hillel, earning a spot in the private High School of her choice and placement in the honors track for all Judaic and general studies classes. Hillel prepared her for excellence academically while also strengthening her Jewish pride, cultivating love of Israel and refining her character with an intentional focus on Middot development through the Character Counts program.My younger children are spread throughout the Middle School, Elementary School and Early Childhood programs, each receiving grade appropriate instruction enveloped in an invaluable warmth that enriches their sense of self and their own personal worthiness. They remain challenged in advanced classes, have their curiosity piqued in enrichment programming and revel in the myriad of extracurricular activities offered. They feel at home, and treasured, in the halls of Hillel and are inspired to strive as students, as leaders and as Jews there. They easily engage a wide range of Jewish friends from across the LA community and, as a result of the strong Kehilla at Hillel, celebrate the full diversity of the Jewish community with respect, acceptance and love.

I would rate this school at five stars since from the first time we met the amazing staff and faculty of Hillel, we felt welcome, and it was as if we had always been part of the Hillel Family. The teachers at Hillel put their heart and soul into their job and genuinely care about the students. The Rabbis often invite their students into their homes for the holidays and Shabbat to spend time with them and learn in a different type of environment.  The school is run by a team of committed and hardworking administrators, who make time for students even though with their hectic and tight schedule.
