Posted by a principal on 9/5/2023My child went to a charter school that was awful for her. She was exhibiting signs of depression and hated going to school. We decided to open enroll in dodge for 6th grade and the difference is profound! She’s having a wonderful experience. In the beginning of school she didn’t have friends and a teacher kindly sat with her at lunch so she wasn’t alone. Now she has a group of good friends and is involved in school sports. I highly recommend Dodge! Best middle school in Tucson!
Posted by a parent on 12/6/2019Exceeded expectations. I would recommend for students that are motivated to make the most of their education.
Posted by a parent on 7/19/2018I enrolled my daughter at Dodge because of the recommendation from her fourth grade elementary school teacher and her sixth grade math teacher. My daughter only knew one other student at the school but she was able to thrive successfully. She joined sports and loved the closeness and the encouragement for higher education. Teacher's always told the students WHEN you go to college not IF you go to college. My daughter is a successful AP/honors high school student and tutors kids. Dodge truly has a wonderful staff that makes a difference for our kids future!
Posted by a community member on 8/21/2016Dodge is definitely one of the best middle schools in TUSD. We open-enrolled our 2 sons out of district because we didn't think Dodge was a good fit for our oldest son at the time and didn't like any of the other options for middle schools in the district. However, our daughter attended Dodge and had a very good experience for the most part. She was accepted at both the Doolen GATE program and Dodge but we chose Dodge because we liked that the school stressed college and that the teachers did their best to prepare the students for high school. When we visited during 5th grade, my daughter was very taken in by Ms. Ponticelli whose class was doing a unit on Greece. Unfortunately, Ms. Ponticelli as well as 2 other 6th grade teachers along with Ms. White, the orchestra teacher, have just officially retired. Another thing I really like about Dodge is that it is a 5 'R' school (Reading • Writing • Arithmetic • Respect • Responsibility). The R&R cards encourage and reward good behavior and my daughter loved accumulating points on her card. As I previously mentioned, Dodge is one of the top middle schools in TUSD and the A+ rating it just received is an attestation to this.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy review would be higher, except the front office staff can be awful. Extremely rude to both students and staff. It really has made the whole experience of going her very bad. It’s just unnecessary to treat people so rudely all the time.Parent Review2y ago - W Arthur Sewel Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe students at this school bully, they deface school property, and they have lack compassion. Teachers are unwilling to help students with ‘learning disabilities’ - they label and disregard. I would never recommend this school to anyone.Parent Review3y ago - Tucson Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy name is Jessy Long and I am the Founder of the greater-Tucson based "Company Eco". This message is in regard to a presentation we recently delivered to Castlehill on Earth Day...The children were such good listeners, and the questions they asked during and after the presentation clearly illustrated their dedication to this important cause. The aptitude of this group of students was nothing short of astounding and after spending some time with them, I feel like my faith in the power of good has been revived. We have high hopes for the students at Castlehill… we have high hopes for the future of humanity. I would also like to mention that my journey as an entrepreneur would have never been possible without Principal Basiliere and support from people like Mrs. Spain. Prior to her role at Castlehill, Principal Basiliere was my leader. She once said politely something to me that changed the course of my life... In so many words she explained “Jessy, there are those who express their concerns and those who come up with solutions. Which are you?”. She taught me how to create a business case, how to merge the worlds of activism and economics, allocated financial resources and then supported me in creating positive change within the industry we were working in at the time. Those of us who have worked with her, the students at Castlehill… we are all very fortunate to be the recipients of her devotion, her warm-heartedness, her motherly love. She is a force multiplier.Other Review1y ago - St Joseph Catholic School
