Read what parents are saying about Sunrise Middle SchoolMy son attended this school for their gifted DLC program. The school is small but the education is top notch. Many of his friends are not in the program and they are also receiving an outstanding education. The teachers are kind and supportive. Great school!

Posted by a community member on 8/14/2023I got builled for a whole year and the office never did anything about it. I went thé the principal and he didn’t do anything about it. My builles backed me up into a corner and I ran out of the school into a parking lot. I got suspended for 2 days and my builles got nothing. Not ever a talking too. Nothing. This school made me hate my self and made my confidence lower so much I got an eating disorder and trauma. I wanted to lull myself when I went here because I knew that no one was going to do anything about this.

Posted by a community member on 5/13/2023We chose to send our daughter to Sunrise as it was the middle school for the Spanish Immersion program at Sandpiper Elementary. I know the first year the school (2018-2019) had the Spanish immersion program there were some kinks in it, but I really believe they have got it ironed out. Last year was an excellent experience and this year as well. Albeit, we are all living through a pandemic and the kids have only been in person for 5 weeks this whole year, but the whole education process as been outstanding. There have been a few pandemic related issues come up, but that's happening at all schools. All the teachers care deeply about their students and I really do believe the kids are getting a good education at Sunrise. I also intend to send my son to Sunrise next year as well for 7th grade. I am also attaching an email from the principal outlining some highlights about the school that would be of interest to anyone considering this school. "I have been the principal at Sunrise for almost 20 years and am the longest-tenured principal in the PV district. I have hired the entire staff at Sunrise. We have hired caring, smart and talented people. You might say that it has been my life's work and a labor of love. We care for our kids in every way: academically, socially and emotionally. If you choose or have chosen Sunrise, I believe you have chosen a middle school that is comparable to or finer than any middle school, not only in PV, but also anywhere in the valley. We are a diverse school, something which I knew would add to the magnetism of language immersion program students and parents coming from an elementary school devoted to language immersion and multiculturalism. Even with a lot of open enrollment students coming into our prestigious DLC Gifted Program, as well as DLSI and DLMI (Mandarin Immersion), we are still a relatively small school so we can provide a unique small school experience for our kids." The email he sent exceeds what I am able to post here (I only pasted two condensed paragraphs), but suffice it to say, please reach out to the principal, Greg Martin, to learn more about what the school has to offer. He is super approachable and very involved with the students, staff and parents. We are very happy and believe this school would be a great experience for your child.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDesert Springs is a wonderful school. My kids love it and are happy at school. My second grader knows about the Persian Wars, Greek Mythology, the Incas and Mayans. We have had wonderful experiences and will be forever greatful to the teachers, therapists and staff members.Parent Review3w ago - Aldea Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been very happy with our experience at Aldea. Our daughter started in the toddler room at 18 months. We were anxious to have her in a new environment but the staff is amazing and put our mind at ease. She is now in the primary room and learning so much. I was pleased to see they identify strengths and target those in various works. We appreciate the community that is Aldea and would definitely recommend to others.Parent Review2y ago - Scottsdale Christian Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe couldn't be happier at SCA. The staff is extremely kind, when we toured there a year ago, my daughter leans over and asks me, "why are they so nice here". What we were accustomed to was much colder. We have moved a few times and our children have had to start at new students more than once. We received the warmest welcome from SCA and the other parents. We even had a parent ask to meet us prior to the first day so daughter would know a friendly face. In all schools you have your grumpy teachers and your amazing ones. The good far outweighs the grumps here and overall, the teachers seem to really care about their job and students. The campus is very safe, there are police officers present at all times. There are on staff counselors that are easy to schedule with. The decisions made by the administration seem to be with parents who work full time schedules in mind. They are courteous, welcoming and organized. The education and courses are above average, again having a few other schools to compare to.Parent Review8mo ago - Friendship Christian School
