Read what parents are saying about Sulphur High SchoolStudent here, so this school is well and good when it comes to academics, yet some may not be able to thrive in such, or even participate. The main issue is bullying, now i will not like or beat around the bush, I have bullied my friend to the point that they tried and tried to talk to administrators (i saw my wrong and apologized profusely) yet it took them WEEKS to even THINK about talking to me about this. Now the teachers are nice and are very one to one with both students and parents if the student is not catching up exc, but when there is litter inside the bleachers and a cardboard sign that has been sitting for months that says "F- F*gs" (without censorship to both words) and no one has even the audacity to throw it out, you start to realize something is wrong. This "zero tolency" to bullying is utter bull and I want to speak out about this, coming from someone who has been harassed and bullied about anything I couldn't control. Your child would do well with learning, but be weary of their mental health and physical health, school can be a drain and people are screwed up sometimes. That is all.
Posted by a parent on 4/1/2022Average, most teacher do a good job. There have been a few that doesn't teach well but the most difficult teacher has been the elective, IBCA
Posted by a parent on 1/24/2019Absolutely horrific. Bullied from freshman year to senior year for sexuality. Administration wouldn’t help. Academically (advanced classes) it was a great place to thrive.

Posted by a teacher on 6/23/2017Other then the principles and lack of security (they don't care if someone steals your stuff) it's a good school got a phone call one time my kid skipped a class to read I understand skipping is wrong but when the principle called me he said that my daughter was in the stair well with her boyfriend. When my daughter had skipped she texted me and told me she wasn't going to class she was going sit in the library and read. Now I believe that is unacceptable that the principle who is supposed to be making sure my kid stays out of trouble lied to me. To be sure my daughter wasn't lying I called her boyfriend parents am he wasn't even in school that day So other then the principles I believe it's a good school

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was in 4th grade super smart! Brought home some disappointing grades. I contacted his counselor and set up meetings with both teachers, ELA Social Studies. I made several requests that they send home homework so I could see what the problem was. I’m not sure if they were hiding the curriculum or just lazy. The councilor was the best but the teachers and administrators were very lacking. The public school system needs to be reformed. Our children need to be educated not indoctrinated. I hope I am contacted to give my opinion verbally.Parent Review9mo ago - Our Lady's School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe best school in the area, I feel a peace of mind sending my child there, with the craziness going in the world, you have to be buzzed in, to even get on school grounds, they are more advanced in academics, and the faculty to student ratio is smaller, the children get more one-on-one to learn and ask questionsParent Review1y ago
