Fountain Lake Elementary School

So far I am please with the education my daughter is receiving.

Good in the past, however, now, my son is in kindergarten, and he is a smart, kind, funny boy who the staff love to see coming as he hugs and acknowledges everyone. He loves the other kids and enjoys school. However, he has been put in ISS multiple times for, sliding rocks down the slide, playing with rocks on the playground (he and another boy were throwing them back and forth. My son got pink slip, other child did not), pushing a kid away that came up and SLAPPED his face. My son did not slap him back, just pushed him away to stop him from slapping. My son is sounding words out, knows his numbers, uses critical thinking, is bragged on by the aides that work in his classroom, but it's been mentioned to put him in ALE. WHAT, WHY??? There is no help for children that need extra activity or who are fidgety. They get in trouble constantly, even with the OT coming in and evaluating and saying well yes he has sensory issues and he needs more activity, nothing has changed! I feel like they stick him in ISS because it's easier than trying to help or deal with him. Very disappointed in this school.

the assistant principal Steve Freeman does not believe in giving second chances. he will quickly send a child to the alternative learning school if they have any trouble. my son has ADHD but is a straight A student and they refuse to work with us on keeping my son in a normal learning enviroment. he has done this with many children. Mr. Freeman refuses to help my child at all and just rids himself of any responsibilities by sending him where he doesnt belong
