How do I get started with online rent collection?: First, go to your property in Zillow Rental Manager and select the Payments tab. Enter your tenant’s email address, and we will send an email inviting them to complete the process. Once they accept the invitation and set up payments, you will be able to collect your next rent payment online.
How does collecting rent online benefit my tenants?: Online rent collection through Zillow provides tenants with a more convenient and flexible payment option by eliminating the need to mail checks. It also reduces the risk of late fees because tenants can set up recurring payments on the date that their rent is due. Your tenants can also build credit with each on-time payment.
How much does it cost to use online rent collection?: Collecting rent online is free for landlords, and free for tenants if they pay with ACH (bank transfer). Tenants will pay a 2.95% fee when using a credit card and a $9.95 fee for debit payments.
How long will it take for online rent payments to be deposited into my account?: You will see the date your tenant initiated rent payment on your dashboard. Money can take up to 5 business days to be deposited in your account depending on the renter’s payment method.
