05/10/17 Arrest Officers With The Frederick Police Department Responded To The Wawa In The 1000 Blk Of W Patrick St Where They Had Received A Complaint Advising Two Subjects Were Using Heroin In A Vehicle Parked At The Gas Pumps. Upon Arrival, Officers Made Contact With The Occupants Of The Vehicle, Identified As Kimberly Jean Tobin Of The 8000 Blk Of Devon Ln In Walkersville, And Joseph Dennis Marshall Of The Unit Blk Of Madison Ave In Hagerstown. After Being Questioned About Drugs And Paraphernalia In The Vehicle, Marshall Admitted To Having Syringes For Heroin Use And Was Placed Under Arrest. A Search Incident To Arrest Revealed Marshall Was In Possession Of Additional Paraphernalia And Heroin. Tobin Also Admitted To Having Syringes In The Vehicle And Advised Officers That She Had Heroin On Her Person. Tobin Then Handed The Officers Approximately 6 Grams Of Heroin Before Being Placed Under Arrest As Well. The Vehicle Was Searched And A Digital Scale And Packaging Equipment Was Recovered As A Result. Marshall And Tobin Were Then Transported To The Frederick County Adult Detention Center For Further Processing. 05/06/17 Other Approximately 0208 Hours Officers From The Frederick Police Department Were Dispatched To 1000 Heather Ridge Dr. For A Report Of A Home Invasion. Upon Arriving To The Area, Patrol Officers Observed A Male Fitting The Description Running From The Area And The Were Able To Stop And Detain This Individual. This Individual Is A Juvenile And His Name Is Not Being Released At This Time.Through This Investigation Officers Were Able To Obtain Surveillance Footage For The Incident. This Surveillance Footage Clearly Showed 4 Individuals Were Involved. It Also Showed That They Appeared To Have Taken Shelter In Another Apartment Building In The Same Complex. While Conducting A Canvass Of That Building The Remaining Three Suspects Were Taken Into Custody Without Incident. One Of The Remaining 3 Was Also A Juvenile.All Four Individuals Were Taken To Fpd Hq For Questioning. After Being Interviewed The Adult Suspects Were Taken To The Frederick County Adult Detention Center And Are Awaiting To Be Seen By A District Court Commissioner. The Juveniles Were Transported To A Juvenile Facility In The Area. 05/02/17 Robbery On 5/2/2017 At Approximately 2204 Hours Officers From The Frederick Police Department Were Dispatched To 100 Hill Street, The Hill Street Park, For A Report Of An Armed Robbery In Progress. Upon Arriving To The Area, The Victim Advised A B/M Had Robbed Him At Gunpoint And Was Fleeing The Park In A Kia. Officers In The Area Were Able To Locate The Kia And Attempted To Stop It.At That Time The Suspect, Later Identified As Lasalle Solomon Whitfield Fled The Vehicle On Foot. A Short Foot Chase Ensued And The Suspect Fled Into A Farm Off Butterfly Lane. A Perimeter Was Quickly Established And A K9 Track Was Attempted. The Suspect Was Located A Short Distance From Where He Was Last Seen On The Same Farm. He Was Taken Into Custody Without Incident. The Suspect Was Transported To Fpd Hq For Questioning Before Being Taken To The Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
