5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does not handle truancy. Instead, they talked me into transferring to an alternative school. Truancy happened again and George Washington said he couldn't come back. DPS gave me no options for schooling. My son was 15. I sent him to live with his noncustodial dad and that blew up in my face. They lost their home and ended up on the street. My son refuses to come home and wants to live in a youth shelter. DPS did this. They didn't allow him to attend anywhere nor correct the truancy. Nobody has listened to me or care. I contacted so many ppl in DPS with zero answers over the course of an entire year while working a full-time job and raising another child. DPS is the root of all evil and they DO NOT have decreased enrollment, they are KICKING them out! Can someone look into this?????Parent Review1y ago16 Reviews - Hill Campus Of Arts And Sciences

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have one daughter who is attending Montclair and another who will be attending starting next year and our experience so far has been terrific. We've experienced thoughtful teachers, teachers aides, principal, and front staff admins. We love that they have art, performance art, and gym teachers. Our daughter is excelling and being given ample opportunity to be challenged. We appreciate the Social-Emotional development classes the school offers for parents to learn more about effective parenting. It's been a warm welcoming environment. And with the Principal that just started in the 24/25 academic year, I expect things to continue to trend up. Of challenges or things that could improve, I'd like better school parent engagement (as opposed to teacher engagement, which has been good). There has been some school outreach, but the follow through on getting parents engaged hasn't been strong. We noticed that school communication of upcoming events were sometimes late or contradictory, but that seems to have improved recently. Also, I which the school offered more sports teams, but that's not a major concern. Ultimately, we've enjoyed it so much that we've recruited some local friends with kids to join our kids over at Montclair.Parent Review1y ago18 Reviews - Check out schools near 1190 Poplar St.

"Best Halloween ever! Oneida is closed off and most neighbors participate in decorations, fog machine's, music. It's also a very active place tons of people out walking dogs and kids at the park and everyone is so friendly"

"I bike on side roads and it’s fairly low key. Quebec needs to be avoided, there’s always traffic. Commute to Anschutz is easy."

"Montclair doesn’t have a lot of community specific events. South Park Hill which is next door does have a lot of parades and festivals to attend "

"Beautiful mature tree lined streets. Great neighbors. 11 Grocery stores in 1.5 miles. Close to Cherry Creek, the new development on 8th and Colorado, walking distance to trendy neighborhoods."

"I was born and raised in this neighborhood and most recently lived there from 1999-2013. It is a wonderful, mature area with lots of parks and residents who take pride in their homes and properties. Good schools, easy access by car or public transportation to just about anywhere in the Denver Metro area, Cherry Creek and Stapleton shopping just minutes away. As for safety, it is close to East Colfax with its crime, but normal safety at night and avoiding the 'fax during the day is sufficient. District 3 police are responsive and involved."
