• Develop education programs to advance the professional, technical, and managerial skills of the membership, operating within the budget and program objectives. • Plans, promotes, and administers all official association general membership meetings. • Oversee schedules and coordinate all educational programs. • Evaluate the educational needs of the membership, based on industry and market trends and state regulations and assess how GCAR can address and satisfy those needs. • Obtain CE course approval from the Tennessee and Georgia Real Estate Commissions via submission of all applicable paperwork for all instructors, whether for live or web based. • Maintain a high skill level using Rapattoni and RAMCO software. • Maintain records of both Tennessee and Georgia state correspondence and course approval codes. • Maintain records of instructors and materials, process instructor payment. • Schedules CE courses and Instructors. • Monitor instructor and handout materials for effectiveness. • Oversee New Member Orientation, to include instruction of new members on various topics; ensuring new members have attended in the timely manner as indicated in the GCAR By Laws. • Oversee various Task Force meetings, including attending meetings, maintain records/minutes and report/submit findings to the Board of Directors. • Prepare and submit yearly budget for the Knowledge Services Department, adjusting as needed for a balanced budget, focusing on ways to improve revenue while maintaining tight control on departmental costs. • Oversee the Facilitator program required for Georgia Real Estate Commission. • Maintain the Knowledge Services portion of GCAR web site. • Develop courses as needed for the Department. • Instruct courses as necessary • Provide the necessary staff support to committee chairmen to enable committees to properly perform their functions, ensure that committee decisions and recommendations are submitted in the proper format through the BOD liaison to the board of directors for approval. • Promote interest and active participation in association activities to membership and local/chapter groups, and reports association activities through the association communications media. • Conduct research and related projects on subjects deemed of importance to the membership’s professional development, prepare and publish the results through the Director of Communication. • Exercise control of Professional Development budget and all arrangements to meet financial objectives. • Perform Professional Standards Administrator duties within the guidelines of the National Association of REALTORS Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual. • Carry out other general responsibilities as officers and board of directors may specify.
