- Helped me buy a home
My husband and I initially started our house hunt with another agent (from another agency) and quickly realized that her personality and style did not match ours. A friend of ours recommended Robbie, who had both sold her condo and helped her and her husband buy a family home in our desired area, Mar Vista. I could not be happier with our decision to work with Robbie. From the start, he was incredibly patient, responsive, and understood our needs. And it did not hurt that he has a wonderful sense of humor! As first time homebuyers, it was great to have Robbie by our side. He not only helped us find a better deal for our loan by recommending a loan broker with whom he had previously worked, but also patiently explained all the details and fine points of real estate transactions. If he did not know something, he made sure to research it and get back to us. As academics, both my husband and I value people who are willing to admit when they are not sure and then getting the answer instead of pretending that they know it. But that is not to say that Robbie is not deeply knowledgeable about the West Side real estate situation or finer points of real estate transactions and laws. You know that you have chosen the right agent when every single sellers’ agent that had worked with him tells you that you are in good hands and what a great guy Robbie is. In the incredibly competitive West Side real estate market, we found that this was of utmost importance. In fact, I don’t think we would have gotten the home we ended up buying had it not been for the sellers’ agent deep respect for and previous good working relationship with Robbie. Even though the home was priced above our maximum, she was willing to work with us because she knew she could trust Robbie to behave ethically with both us and her clients. Robbie went above and beyond on many of our offers; delivering them in person, writing personal letters on our behalf, etc. He was great with recommending inspections for the house and connecting us with the right people. I cannot imagine doing this without Robbie and recommend him to anyone looking for a straightforward, honest, and responsive person to work with.
