I moved to this new office because, at the time, I felt it was in a much better location (not that it means anything today, due to the internet explosion in 1995 and after and the methods in which clients and customers can find you!) and a much, much better office Environment that suited my needs and wants. I continued with advancing my education and also began to volunteer for various committees through the MLS/LIBOR Service of Long Island. I am presently on the following committees: Advertising, Technology, Grievance, Budget and Finance Committees, which perform valuable services for the over 20,000 Brokers and Agents in the MLS of Long Island (Also, we happen to be the largest MLS in the U.S.). This is strictly on a volunteer basis and we do not get remunerated for these extremely important positions. We help the MLS service to be better organized, cutting edge, leading to a much more smoother operating entity, while saving the corporation tens of thousands of dollars! In June of 1998, after being in the same office for over 3 years, I got the itch to own a business again, so after 5 years of learning and earning, I once again took the plunge and bought the company and changed the name to Not Just Homes Realty, assumed name, Turn Key Real Estate, since we were so multifaceted, that we did more than just sell, invest, purchase and rent, homes, Townhomes, HOA's, Condos, Coops, Commercial Sales and Leasing for sellers, Investors, purchasers & tenants. My Specialties: Sales, Investments, 1021 Exchanges, Purchases, Rentals, Leases, Short Sales/Foreclosures-Residential, Homes, Condos, Coops, HOA's, Apt Buildings, Strip Centers, Retail, Restaurants, Gas Stations, Office Space, Industrial, Warehouses Etc. We also have an in house Mortgage & Insurance Broker to to guide you through your Real Estate Mortgages, Refi's, Lines of Credit & Construction Loans and ALL FORMS OF INSURANCE as was noted above. Lastly, we began management services in 2006 and are continuing to advance that portion of the business to enhance our bottom line. I began my career and education in the field on a part time basis working for my dad in 1969 for his franchise called Lawn-A-Mat lawn service. We were a professional lawn-tree & shrub application service company. In 1974, New York State decided to have all those in the industry applying chemicals to properties, become licensed. I studied a very large comprehensive manual of educational material and passed the state exam. Then after college I began my journey and worked for my dad for 4 years and then borrowed $5000 to start Lawn Gro in the winter of 1977. I provided more services, Lawn-Tree-Shrub Applications, Landscape/Irrigation services and even started a carpet cleaning division. I grew the company and bought my father's company in 1979. I stayed in the business continually from March of 1977 and then sold the company to one of my ex-employees on August 4, 1993. I serviced several thousand homeowners with all their exterior lawn, tree and shrub needs and wants; from preventive disease and insect controls, organic and inorganic applications, plus I practiced I.P.M. (integrated pest management) This method of controlling diseases and insects was accomplished by careful and methodical regular inspections of my clients properties. More important was the training I provided to my service people, that was instrumental in both our success leading us to a more profitable company.
