John Malouf 's Work Experience
John Malouf Realty
November 1997 - present
I have been involved in real estate my whole life. My father and grandfather were successful real estate contractors, developers, and brokers. Inspired by them, and learning on the job from their successful real estate transactions, I chose my career in real estate after graduating from the University of Southern California with a business degree emphasizing in Real Estate Finance. I continued my real estate education by earning my MBA from USC.
I began selling real estate as a fully licensed broker in 1997. Over the years I’ve developed an extensive real estate transaction and negotiation expertise derived from my broad experiences in selling all types of real estate within different types of markets. My sales have encompassed most Southern California counties: Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, & San Diego. Outside of California, my sales have extended into Denver and El Paso counties in Colorado and Maricopa County in Arizona. I’ve successfully sold many residential homes, retail shopping centers, raw land, foreclosures, short sales, business opportunities, trust sales, and complex multiple party IRS 1031 tax deferred exchanges. Out of all the real estate transactions that I have completed, my favorites have been helping families find their dream home.
I'm a member of the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, and the Conejo, Simi, Moorpark Association of Realtors.

We couldn't have asked for a better advocate when buying a home! John was very professional, prompt and courteous throughout the entire process. He really knows his stuff when it comes to the residential real estate business, and being a broker, he does it ALL himself. He spent many hours with us on multiple weekends and evenings viewing homes and discussing the pros and cons of the various locations and home amenities.
When we finally narrowed the search down to two houses, John wrote up two offers and simultaneously negotiated both deals to the point of us being able to achieve the best deal on the house we ultimately chose. During the entire process, he kept in regular contact with us to make sure we knew exactly where each offer was at - even when no progress was being made. This was very comforting to us because we never had to wonder about the status of the negotiation.
Once we went into escrow, John was right by our side every step of the way, from taking his own detailed notes during the home inspection, to providing invaluable advice about how to negotiate repairs.
John is a very skilled and confident negotiator and he kept our anxiety to a minimum during the entire process. I do not believe we could have gotten a better deal with another Realtor.
His customer service did not stop there! Even after we signed the loan documents, John sat down with us and went over them line by line and actually found mistakes that were in our favor! He then personally contacted the escrow officer to get them adjusted. That's what I call client-centered customer service!
We can and will unequivocally recommend John without hesitation to anyone looking to buy, sell or rent a home in the Thousand Oaks area. He has the highest level of competency, integrity and honesty of any real estate broker/agent we have ever worked with. You will not be disappointed!
