After vacationing in Duck since I was born, I moved to the Outer Banks with my family from Arlington, VA in 1993. Going from the big city to Duck, NC was quite the adjustment. However, as the majority of home owner's on the Outer Banks would agree, there is no place quite like this beach community. I went on to attend the College of Charleston in South Carolina where I graduated with a BA in Business Administration and a minor in Economics. I moved back to the Outer Banks in 2004, married my high school sweetheart, Adam Sakers, who teaches 5th Grade at Kitty Hawk Elementary School, bought my first house and began working as a mortgage loan officer. After a few years of selling home loans, I realized working in real estate on the Outer Banks was what I really wanted to be doing. Since joining Coldwell Banker in May 2008, my business has soared: I became the fastest Coldwell Banker Seaside Agent EVER to graduate from our "success center", I have received the Coldwell Banker Outstanding Performance Award & Agent of the Month numerous times, I was awarded as the Coldwell Banker Seaside "ROOKIE OF THE YEAR" for 2008, I was awarded as the "TOP LISTING AGENT" for 2010, I was a semi finalist with REALTOR® Magazine's 2010 "30 under 30," I was a 2010 Member of the Coldwell Banker International Sterling Society & finished off 2011 as a new Member of the Coldwell Banker Diamond Society! Heather was wonderful to work with! She was extremely responsive and responded with email or text very quickly. We really appreciated her communications on the market conditions and how that impacted the pricing of our house. When we received an offer, she worked with us to answer questions and make suggestions to make sure the sale would go through smoothly. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a realtor in the OBX!
