We were first time homebuyers when we met Hart -- we knew literally nothing of the process and his background and ability and personality was so incredibly crucial to our becoming not only happy homeowners but getting an incredible deal on a perfect fit. Hart worked proactively to put us in touch with lenders who were able to help us and offer us a straightforward and fair loan. He went out of the way to listen and really get to know us and our needs. He seemed to have a sense of our needs that were partially unclear to us in our emotional state around the new house idea. He was with us through many twists and turns as we navigated creating a lazer like focus on what we really wanted, really needed, and could afford. When we got our prequalification for the loan -- we started looking in earnest at many homes in many neighborhoods. We definitely ended up relying on Hart to remind us of how the particular home fit into our template, or did not fit into our template and had issues. There were a few situations where his honesty about what he was seeing for us literally saved us from making the wrong decision (even when it may have benefited his own colleagues). When it came time to make an offer we had gotten to the point of fully relying on Hart and feeling completely comfortable trusting his expertise and feel for negotiation. We ended up paying below bank appraisal on our home in a hot neighborhood, which may have been paritally luck, but we really believe that Hart's knack for using his intuition to find the best path was instrumental. Now we have been in our home almost a year and we are so incredibly grateful that we chose the home we did and that Hart made it happen at the price that it did. What many describe as a harrowing stressful experience was truly a joy for us. When people who come over hear our story of finding our little gem at a great price in West Asheville they are amazed at how lucky we were, but we know it's not just luck -- Hart is a steady, talented, intuitive, passionate, likable person who is obviously working in the right field, and that is a rare thing to find. We feel so fortunate that we found Hart to work with on our first home purchase and we would definitley reccomend him to anyone who wants a trustworthy, hardworking and excellent agent.
