- Helped me sell a home
After my three-year RBD (Really Bad Divorce) with my Really Bad Attorney, I was left with all mutual marriage debt. I was in the unfortunate position of not wanting to, yet having to sell my home of 22 years to pay the debt. I was unhappy and unprepared to let go of my longtime nest. I recalled that Janice Pestana had sold my neighbors' home a year before and contacted her. Let me be clear: meeting and working with Janice Pestana was the best thing that happened to me after my RBD. Not only sharp and intelligent, Janice Pestana was warm and calmly reassuring throughout the process of preparing, listing and selling my beloved home--which took only one (1) month from the start to my acceptance of an offer. Ms. Pestana's technical expertise as a real estate professional ensured my home (a 100+ year old Craftsman Bungalow) was superbly and completely prepared for listing to ensure my receipt of the highest offer and price possible on my home. Ms Pestana takes pride in representing listings in some of Portland's most historic and hip neighborhoods--that pride was evident in her treatment of me and my home. She took care of all details personally, including staging the interior, supervising open house and, most important, interacting with and shielding me from roommates who were rude, disrespectful and hostile to me during the sale. Ms. Pestana's approachable, absolutely pleasant personality was a tremendous comfort to me in a situation where I was fearful and uncertain of my future as a 54-year old single woman. Ms. Pestana took impeccable care of me and my home. Life can be hard--Ms Pestana went above and beyond my expectations to make the sale of home as easy as it could be. I think Ms. Pestana is the best real est ate agent in the Northwest and should be the only choice for folks planning to sell their precious property, especially historical homes in hip city neighborhoods like mine. When I am ready to buy or sell another home, Janice Pestana is the only phone call I need to make. On a scale of 10, Janice Pestana is a 20.
