We are a very busy foster/adoptive family who recently went from one child to 3, 2 of them still toddlers. We are also first time homebuyers, and have recently worked very hard repair damage to our credit from years ago. When we started the process of finding our first family home, we knew that we needed someone who was knowledgable, friendly, and patient with us and our brood of children. We were very nervous starting the process, not only because of our past issues, but because of the huge commitment and a lot of unknowns. I asked some friends if they had any recommendations, and one friend spoke so highly of Nancy, that I had to give her a call! She called me back immediately upon getting my message, and asked me all kinds of questions, getting to work right away! The next day, we got our pre-approval for our loan, and Nancy took us to 2 houses that night! We live in a very competitive market, so we were prepared to see many houses that would sell quickly. She constantly sent us listings to look at, that she had obviously picked after listing to our needs, not just every listing she found. When I would call or email to ask about a property, she would inquire immediately, giving us all the info we needed, and setting up showings ASAP. She was so patient with us, even when we had to bring all three kids with us to all the showings. She talked to/played with the kids, and made them feel comfortable and happy so we could look around the houses. We ended up house hunting for just over one week, saw at least 10 homes, and put an offer in one other, before we were accepted for our new home! What a whirlwind of a week, especially to us newbies! But she helped us feel confident, answering every question that came up, and explaining the process to us over and over, so patiently! Throughout the closing process, she kept us updated, contacted people about inspections and forms, and made sure everything was running smoothly. We were leaving for vacation 2 days after our prospected closing date, so I was nervous about any delays. We closed on the exact day we requested, having everything in order, and I am sure a large part of that was Nancy working behind the scenes, making sure everything was done. Even after closing, after vacation, and when we finally moved into our home a full month later, she helped us with 2 issues that came up with the house/inspection reports by calling the city to request forms, talking to inspectors, etc. She really went above and beyond! Overall, we had a wonderful experience with our first home purchase, and would recommend her to any one looking for a wonderful, patient, kind, spitfire, get-the-job-done kind of realtor!
