6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school, but...The administration is such a pain. Like, they are possibly one of the worst managed schools in the state. They dont even know how to serve lunch to kids in a slightly more effective way. It's utterly infuriating to see them fail and fail over and over again with their decisions. Also, dont let the modern looking school fool you (they went into massive debt from that, btw...) they still work on draconic and ancient school policies and rules. Main example: Zero tolerance policy. That should explain everything. (They love punishing victims too, for some reason?)Also another thing: this school is riddled with internal conflicts between students and crime. While i do not know the specifics, there's a crime around every other day commited within the school. While yes, it's a small portion of the school involved with it, it still exists, and is still prevelent. Authorities know this already, but do minimal effort to stop it. That's why i rate the safety minimal. (Also the fact that these people (administration) don't relize that their school shooting drills are utterly abhorent and would absolutely lead to the death of many children.)Though i do give credit for their good, expirenced, and Genuinely kind teachers and counselors, and a clean school.Tl;dr, good town, horrible public school, unless you dont care about your kids being around drug addicts and vapers, and a horrible administration.Student Review2mo ago - Lake Mills Middle School

It has a very nurturant atmosphere for the kids not to mention a brand new fabulous facility. It should be rated 9 or 10. "I have lived here for one year and find the neighbors to be very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet with only local traffic. This is a lake community with beautiful parks, a golf course, boating, bike trail and numerous sidewalks."
