9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved into this school district and while we moved out only 1 year later it was everything we wanted it to be. It was top-notch through and through, from the teachers, to the administration, to the extracurriculars to the kids. Academically challenging and impressive, with a reasonable homework approach. Mr. Harrop was the best teacher we've ever had for our son.Parent Review3y ago - Hartland North Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of 4 boys, my overall opinion is such. Good intentions with unintended negative results. Cliques are a problem. Bull horn used to yell at kids in lunchroom. Curriculum too easy for majority of the students. Average public school with average results.Student Review7y ago - Hartland South Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am the parent of a 4th grade student at Hartland South. My son has been enrolled in the "Virtual Parent Digital Classroom" since it became available when he was in 2nd grade. We have had a wonderful experience with this program. I absolutely love the focus on teaching with technology. I am amazed at what my son has learned! The apps they use, aid in teaching math, history, writing, reading, science - all the core subjects but teach the material in a way that is fun and engaging! In addition the use of technology gives me a window into his day, which I really love! Classmates and teachers post photos/videos of what they are learning about throughout the day which is a wonderful reference when we have questions about homework & a great reminder about upcoming tests, special days, etc. I also love that the teachers are accessible throughout the day/evening via email. If I have a question, I usually get a response within an hour, if not sooner! I also feel much more connected to the other parents in this classroom because of the tech we all use together! For that reason, I think this would be a really great option for families moving into our district!Parent Review9y ago - Arrowhead High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a gradudated senoir from this school. While this school was farely decent, they have failed on many, many, fronts. Arrowhead for one has a diversity problem, Arrowhead is 88% white, while it says Arrowhead has 12% "mixed" it's not factual. While yes it can not be possible to force diversity on race - its not all about race. You could just dress slightly differently and no one will talk to you, and people will make fun of you. Even if you have just DIFFERENT HAIR; I had a middle part for my freshman year, got consistanly made fun of (people refusing to talk to me, calling me emo ((had nothing else different)) ) and it made me feel so bad that I changed my hair. Then senior year it became "normal" so now no one cares. The "different dressing kids" where always bullied and harrassed. But I cannot speak for their experinces. The treatment of the Special Ed kids are beyond baffeling. They have been screamed at, dragged out of rooms, and physically hit. While they want them to "experince" normal classes, it isn't normal. It inhibits the learning of the kids in the class, and they don't usaully do any work. When they do have to do work they obv get help but they don't follow what we did in class. Teachers are always hit or miss. They are either intolorable or complete pushovers. You can get the occasonal good teacher that likes to teach and actually does teach. There are teachers that people try to actively avoid, who I did have, and that teacher is nearly impossible. Making things way harder then it has to be.I could go on and on but the point is that this school is horrible. It doesn't have many offering features. It's sports are great but thats about it.Go to a different school.Student Review1y ago - Check out schools near 139 Poplar Ct.

"This area is great for families with young children. It's easy to walk to the parks (numerous), the library, the grocery store, and several restaurants in downtown Hartland. We like to bike or walk. They are also adding a splash pad at Nixon Park by the library which will be a great addition. The neighborhood is friendly, safe, and people will go out of their way for you here."
