4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe recently relocated from the east coast and our son started first grade at Roosevelt. I don't think we would have never found a better school. His teacher, Ms. Fors, is a top notch teacher. Having taught special education for nine years and now teaching mainstream 1st grade, she quickly found our son to be ADD. During his first few weeks of school, he was disruptive in class and required one on one teaching. After being tested by a local pediatrician, our son was diagnosed with ADD and ADHD. He was put on medication and the difference has been astounding! He now excels in school and we were told that we should have him tested for the gifted program. The principal, Mrs. Michelle Olsen, is also wonderful. We have gotten to know her personally, as well as professionally. She has shown that she has our child's best interests at heart. We were very skeptical of this school when we saw a School Rating of 5, but given our experience, we can't help but to give this school a 10.Parent Review10y ago

"My neighborhood is quiet and safe. There is access to a bus stop down the street, a park that is only 2 blocks away and if you walk a few more blocks north, you can see the ocean."

"I love this neighborhood. We are right between Sequim and Port Angeles WA. We are minutes from the discovery trail . great for biking, horseback, or just a great walking area. There are two grocery stores within walking distance. The mountain view is spectacular. This is a very quiet and safe neighborhood"

"This neighborhood has it all. Bus stop nearby, a great little park, nice, well-kept homes, friendly neighbors, low crime rates, and very close to schools. It's great being close to the grocery store, too. Downtown is a short walk or bike ride away, and the whole neighborhood is pet-friendly and respectful pet owners."
