This used to be a nice school about 10 years ago when they had different district leadership and different leadership staff. It has drastically changed since then. I have 2 children who went through this school during different decades. My recent child was slapped in the face twice by another student. The school failed to call me. I only found out after my daughter came home from school. They said they would address it, but I have no idea how or if it was even addressed. There was another student who regularily gave my child the middle finger, and called her abject names, such as the FB word. These students are ELEMENTARY!!! It's disgusting!!! My child did not feel safe at this school, and was the victim of regular bullying in which it was addressed, but the problem never solved. The school also did NOT respect my childs faith. They flat out did their very best to take away every aspect of innocence. However, I blame this on the LWSD, not the school alone. If I could go back and make a decision on where I was moving and the quality of the school district itself, I would have never moved to this area. It's gross. When I asked to review some material they were teaching my student BEFORE presenting it to her- I received a response from leadership that they are not required to give me that information before the fact.I stated: What I am most unhappy about is not being informed about this video and the content before presenting it to my child. Perhaps you were all unaware, but this does not coincide with our family values. The response: I want to reiterate that except for instruction directly identified for Sexual Health, students are expected to participate in all instructional programming throughout the school day. Schools are not expected to provide alternate programming or supervision for students. Therefore, the teacher will not be providing you a preview or an alternative to your student for classroom instruction.- I offered to P/U insteadThe information they were providing I would not consider instructional. It was more of a belief altering initiative, again taking away my childs innocence. It has been an overall negative experience and my child hated going to school. There were a few good staff members, but not enough to make it worth it due to negative leadership. Also, LWSD does not allow any celebrations of any holidays, (boring) -however, they expect your child to participate in non holiday activities they don't believe in.

This is a very good school, i'm a current student here and the teachers are nice. Plus new building was built a few years ago, very nice building. Go Ravens!

Nice teachers, bad building. The school is super old though, and the walls are super claustrophobic. However, the teachers are nice, and this is in a nice area to live in generally. Also, a ping-pong table at lunch as well.
