Overall, though, it's a hard place to get a good education, especially if your child is in any way different from the norm. The school offers relatively few AP courses, actively discourages students from applying to out-of-state colleges, and keeps changing the science curriculum as fundamentalist parents fight the school board about whether the textbooks can mention evolution. Administrators are very quick to hand out harsh punishments for minor rule-breaking, and the school's basic approach to students with behavioral/emotional disabilities is "act normal or get out." "Haves lived here almost 3 years. Great place to live. Quiet neighborhood, kid friendly, friendly but not nosy neighbors. It’s the Fife School District so it’s one of the better school districts around this area. "
