6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMostly good people, not too many people try to start things or pick fights. Most students are very respectful to one another, most teachers are respectful towards their students but the teachers can say/do some bullying of their own with how some treat students.Student Review1y ago - North Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attends this school. They’ve gotten a new principal and some new faces in the office that have made a huge improvement at the school this year. Last year fights were very prevalent, seemed like they occurred daily. This year, they are few and far between. There have been a few new rules that I believe have helped with this. Alot of the teachers are just amazing- welcoming extra help for students when needed at lunch or after school. Some of the teachers are really communicative, sending text /or email communication with upcoming test or big assignment due dates to keep parents involved. I would recommend this school!Parent Review1mo ago - Whittier Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my son’s first year at Whittier and I have really seen him thrive compared to where he spent his kindergarten year. I absolutely love the staff and his teacher. My 5 year old will be starting at Whittier for kindergarten next near and couldn’t be more pleased. This is hands down the best school in the area by far! On the first day of school when I picked my son up he said “mom there’s like absolutely NO bullies at this school!” and I was SO thankful to hear him say that. I recommend this school to everyone.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 1301 Grand Ave.

"This neighborhood has access to it all. Cute downtown, marina, beaches, train station to Seattle, parks, major hospital, K-12, community college, & shopping. Great place to live that’s getting better thru current waterfront expansions. "

"awful place to live. full of drugs and frightening people. neighbors are loud at all hours of the night, police are called at least 3 nights a week. lots of break ins and we never have fully felt safe, even with security measures in place. "

"friendly neighbors quiet all around really great place to live dogs are well behaved and dont bark constantly schools and stores are close by so convince "

"I have lived in the Historic North Everett area for 6 years. The neighborhoods are great with friendly people and good walkability for kids and pets for the most part. We live close to the hospital, and our street tends to be on the quiet side although there seems to be more traffic than when we first moved here a few years ago. Some of the main streets in this area are much busier traffic-wise. There is some property crime in general, but we have always taken common sense precautions and have never had a problem. There are a few great places to eat in and around downtown Everett, although you will get much more variety in Seattle, which is a 20-25 minute drive away. Another advantage of living in Everett is being relatively close to Seattle but without having to pay the higher King County property taxes. Everett has a great coop grocery store, alternative health care practitioners, yoga studios and the like if you are interested in that sort of thing."
