4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school, in fact the district, is on a steep decline. Teachers have somehow been given the message that parents don’t need to be treated and respected as partners in their children’s education. A weak superintendent means they don’t really answer to anyone. Not even the few shining stars that still remain can offset the arrogance of the incompetents running this circus. We’re looking to move…because my children…all children…deserve better than the negative atmosphere and poor level of instruction that now characterizes this school districtParent Review2y ago - Rutland Senior High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey do a pretty decent job in terms of schooling but the overall experience at the school is not a good one in my opinion. If you have an opinion that others do not agree with, you will be shamed or bullied by multiple people. If you are not on a sports team, good luck getting any women. If you ARE a woman and happen to be overweight or not particularly good looking know that boys are ALWAYS talking behind your back insulting you. On the contrary, if you are an attractive woman and have big breasts or a big butt for example then you will be safe at this school, people do not attack you or sexually harass you. People will 100% talk about your body but they will never physically touch you.Overall the teachers are nice, it's the curriculum and the students that make it a bad school.Student Review2y ago - Rutland Northwest School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLove this school. My daughter has gone here for the 3 years. She has developed so much in her reading. She went from knowing basic sight words to readying at 3rd grade level because the teachers go above and beyond. My son in just 6 months went from writing his name with odd looking letters to actually writing the letters with making them look like normal letters. They sent me home papers with the lines to teach him better with. The teachers are friendly. The principal knows each and every student by first and last name and can tell you what grade they are in with a few short seconds. I have never meet a principal like that. I wish my children were able to advance with the teachers each year!Parent Review7y ago - Rutland Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRMS is improving continually. There is better leadership and a caring and supportive staff. RMS offers a significant number of sports, clubs, and activities for students including soccer, baseball, softball, lacrosse, and basketball. Clubs include FTC Robotics, Hiking, Writing, Yearbook, Rock Climbing, Art Club, and Student Council. There is a new emphasis on project-based learning and hands-on activities. Teachers work hard to support all students while be flexible and maintaining high standards. Students at RMS have access to so much more than other local schools have to offer.Teacher Review3y ago - Check out schools near 63 Pine Street.
