What Locals Say about Warrenton

  • Kjenkins1354
"Very nice area people here are very nice and very helpful and maintain their property very well. There is lots of stores here. And there are lots of places to eat here, and the parks are very nice and it’s convenient to Northern Virginia. It does get busy here certain times of the day with traffic."

"This is a very nice neighborhood and the people are very friendly. Traffic is very heavy at times during peak hours of the day. Homes in this area are very expensive. However, the schools are very good and the local law-enforcement is great."

"Neighbors tend to look out for each other in the sense that news travels if a bear is around, if packages are being stolen, suspicious activity, etc. Peaceful and quiet for now. Sadly backs right up against Brookside."

"No sidewalks or street lights on my street and sometimes cars are going pretty fast (40mph). People tend to be careful overall as there’s a lot of walkers/dog owners. Wear reflective gear or have a flashlight at night and you’re set! "

"Character, character, character. Neat, charming small town (bell toles the hour at the court house) in the Virginia Piedmont. Home is within walking distance to down town Old Town Warrenton shops and restaurants, etc. The immediate area has 5 grocery stores all within about a mile. There's a hospital on the hill in town should you need one and beautiful countryside literally minutes from town. Fauquier County is striving hard to retain its rural character and a large percentage of the farmland and open spaces are protected by historic/scenic/conservation easements, etc. so will remain as they are in perpetuity. Fauquier also boasts a large number of wineries and beautiful Skyline drive in the Shenandoah mountains is just a 45 minute drive away. Over all, a very high quality of living is to be found here. Within one hour of Washington, DC/Northern Virginia. This home is for those looking for a charming place to live. Warrenton was just listed as the 7th safest town in Virginia. "
