We recently moved into the area and are very happy with our choice to raise our children in Greene County. I love our child's teacher. He is hands on and beloved by his students. This year my child tested in the 96% (nationwide) in reading and 85% in math. We are quite happy with her scores and can only expect them to get better. Greene County does have a higher proportion of economically disadvantaged children than some of the surrounding districts, however, we don't find it to be an issue. The school is doing really well with our child. I especially love how down to earth other families in Greene are. I feel like I'm not getting the best education I could get. All of my classes are packed and full so the teacher only gets to work with a few students. Greene County is lovely but there is a fair amount of rural poverty.
