Get ready for summer fun in this all-brick, Renaissance Grand Botticelli home situated on nearly one-acre and backing to Timber Lake! The two-story entrance foyer welcomes you home! The interior of the home was completely repainted this year, and the hardwood floors on the main level were also refinished this year. The dining room has chair rail and crown mouldings with French doors leading into the kitchen. The living room is also off of the main foyer and offers great entertaining space for family and guests. The main foyer leads you to the back of the home to a glass door leading to the main level deck with its lake views for you to enjoy! The deck was re-built in 2017 and was re-stained this year - all ready for you to enjoy - including the pergola with its blooming wisteria vines! There is plenty of outdoor space for dining and relaxing. The family room, with its coffered ceiling, gas fireplace with stone accent wall, and wall of built-ins, is just inside and enjoys views of the deck, lawn and lake. Directly across the main hall from the family room is the kitchen, complete with a center island and additional breakfast room. This model features "bump-outs" on all three levels, providing the perfect amount of extra space on each level. The kitchen has granite counters, ceramic tiled backsplash, stainless steel appliances - including two Bosch dishwashers, a new SubZero refrigerator/freezer, GE Monogram 6-burner gas cooktop with a warming shelf above, GE Profile wall ovens and two sinks. Then, there is the terrific office/study next to the kitchen with its built-in desk and wall of built-in cabinetry. What a great place to plan the perfect party or celebration or have a Zoom meeting with great space and light. There is also a mud room off of the study, and it leads to the 3-car, side-loading garage. There is also a powder room and a "dry bar" with a built-in refrigerator off of the main hall. Ascend the front, curved staircase to the upper level where double doors open to the primary suite. The primary suite offers additional views of the lake and lawn, while also offering a quiet retreat. The suite features a gas fireplace with marble surround, two walk-in closets and an additional closet. The primary bathroom has separate vanity sinks, shower and soaking tub, and a water closet. The upper level features four additional bedrooms and two more full bathrooms. There is also an additional staircase which leads to the main level next to the study and kitchen. The fully-finished, walk-out lower level has great space and a flexible floor plan to suit your lifestyle and needs. With two great spaces for entertaining...options abound! The recreation room has built-ins and a wet bar and there is also a wine cellar which can store 900 bottles on its all-cedar racks, and the refrigeration unit is also newer (2015). The sixth bedroom is on this level and the fourth full bathroom is connected to both the bedroom and the recreation room. There is also an exercise room and great storage space in the storage room and closets on this level. The current owners have their washer and dryer (both new-2019) on this level. The bonus room has a glass door leading out to the awesome, covered flagstone patio. So great to be able to walk directly outside to the covered patio, lawn and lake! There is also an established garden at the back corner of the property - so bring your "Green Thumb"! The Timber Lake community path offers opportunities for walking or jogging, all while enjoying the scenery of the lakes and trees. The schools include Flint Hill, Thoreau, and Madison H.S. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am shocked at some of comments made by the September 30th Parent/Gaurdian reviewer.First, it appears by the review that this parent has only one child at Flint Hill Elementary and that child is a Kindergartener during the virtual learning period. So I suspect half of the trite and uninformed comments arose from an exceptional experience that affected everyone, but the other half must be attributed to the ignorance of this person. We have had 10 years experience with Flint Hill Elem. and while I would not claim that the school is perfect, what I can attest to is the effort, diligence, integrity and caring shown by the teachers and staff. The principal that the other reviewer derides stands out as one of the most conscientious and professional educators that I have met. This principal and I have not always agreed, but I always respected her viewpoint. The other reviewer's assessment of the principal as someone happy with sub-par instruction could not be further from the truth. This principal spends many hours obsessing over giving all of the school's students the best instructional services within the school's resources. Second, the other reviewer comments on the special education services at the school, but admits to having no child receiving special education services at the school. Again, trite and uninformed comments by someone who appears to be an irascible person.Parent Review1y ago - Madison High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 3 sons graduated from Madison. They are very different students and all had fantastic experiences. Madison is a special school where the teachers really care about their students, the administrators work well beyond their scope, and the community is supportive and highly involved. We chose our home because it was in the Madison pyramid and we are so grateful our boys went there.Parent Review6mo ago - Thoreau Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI feel compelled to write a review after seeing some of the recent comments. My son is now a 9th grader at Oakton but he absolutely loved his time at Thoreau. Did they have issues with vandalism? Absolutely! But so did every middle and high school thanks to a stupid TikTok challenge where kids broke soap dispensers and ceiling tiles and posted evidence on social media. This issue is not the school’s fault. I thought it was a good idea when they started locking bathrooms to ensure more adult supervision in less bathrooms. My son had wonderful teachers both years! My only complaint is that they don’t give enough homework. But he has no homework in 9th grade either so I guess this is the new educational trend. He was very well prepared for high school! Special shout out to Mr. Loht, Mr. Firestein and Ms. Shewmaker. My son talked about them in particular and loved being on their team! They made learning fun. I didn’t have the opportunity to interact with the principal, but her communications to parents were excellent and I always heard my son and his friends say they liked her. She did a lot to show the kids why it is important to celebrate cultural differences. She also met with kids to get their opinions on how to improve the school so I know kids appreciated that she cared. We never had any issues with bullying but again this is the most common complaint of any middle schooler in any school. My kid always knew that if he or his friends had issues, they could see their counselor at any time. They are really nice to the kids and my friend used to rave about Ms. Gallagher and she credited her with helping her daughter deal with anxiety and an eating disorder. I could not imagine working with 13 year olds all day, but it is obvious to me that the staff at Thoreau are skilled at working with this age group. We will always speak very highly of my son’s time at Thoreau. Hope this review gives another perspectiveParent Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 2780 Marshall Lake Dr.
