4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child gets bullied and sexually harassed every day by other students. The staff members do nothing to help bullying and kids mental health. Students are bypassing the metal detectors bringing weapons and harming other students. the inside of the school is poorly managed, with moldy bathrooms, and broken equipment. Do not send your kid here.Parent Review2mo ago - Lindenwood Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMany, many years ago, I taught kindergarten at Lindenwood. It was on of my very best teaching experiences! There was great parent evolvement there! Great community school! Yes, there were some behavior issues. You’ll find that anywhere. However, I had incarcerated parents, yet they absolutely adored their child! I had exhausted students because their new sibling slept in the same room. Oh, there were many more! However, we just rolled with it all, trying to meet the needs of every student on every level! The students wanted to learn! Over all students were well behaved. I’d go back in a heartbeat if I still lived there!Teacher Review9mo ago - Maury High School

"Many dogs that stay outside in the yard and bark at everything that passes them by, but those who are often seen walking with their owners are well-behaved. "

"The elementary school is the only downside of this area. Lindenwood elementary is ranked a 1 out of 10, middle and high schools are decent though. Better side to live on is on the shoop Ave side of the park, little sketchy the closer you go to Lafayette, but has definitely improved over the years. "

"Not the best area Parking is horrible People are nasty and don’t clean up after themselves or pets Parents don’t watch what their kids do and it’s really dangerous. I had two kids think it was funny to try and grab onto my side mirrors . Frequent gun shots and robberies "
- Hewill.musiclife

"The dogs scare the kids that play in the neighborhood. Owners probably wouldn’t like that. Though people walk dogs all of the time, it’s the same 3 or 4 that walk them every time. "

"This is a diverse neighborhood with an active civic league. With the variety of homes in the area, it is good for families with kids, singles, couples, and retirees. We're also very close to downtown Norfolk, the Naval Base, ODU, Rte. 64, and the Amtrak station. New businesses are opening up on Tidewater and Shoop. "
