Excellent overall. From academics, to sports, to arts - I think Atlee was a great experience for kids/young adults. Definitely not perfect, but mixing it all together, it is very well done and the teachers and administration are overall superior. I wish every person/parent could feel this way, and we've been blessed with great kids and circumstances. That's not always the case, but IMO the school itself does very well based on my kids and their friends. We feel blessed and fortunate.

LearningCan be boring sometimes, and multiple teachers go overboard on homework, but learning is mostly engagingTeachingMost of the teachers are nice, though not all of them. They are fairly supportive.Social-emotional supportThe school is clearly trying, but it's not working out. As a non-sports kid I am bullied all the time. Gym class mixes three grades together, which is a recipe for disaster. Additionally, gym is overly competitive in a way that makes nothing fun.Special educationThe school has multiple teachers dedicated to special education. However, sometimes they go a bit overboard, such as everyone in gym rigging every single game of flag tag, so that the same kid can win.SafetyAt this school you're mostly safe from racism and sexism, however, there is a considerable amount of homophobia, though rarely from teachers. Also, they often punish the good kids for doing bad things, while not punishing bad kids from doing bad things, i.e, my friend was punished for cursing, but a kid who punched someone was not punished.Family engagementMy parents rarely know what I'm doing in class. In fact, I got a D on a quiz and they didn't know until months later. Needs Improvement.ConclusionIt is a good school with good test scores, but very imperfect when it comes to bullying. However, if you feel confident you won't be bullied, then I guess it's a good school.
