4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSometimes I feared to come to school, Some of my teachers targeted me and students would pick on me while adults turned a blind eye. They always catered to the special students though. some teachers would yell at them though. My teacher wouldn't teach us if we misbehaved and would give the whole class a zero for 1 misbehaving student. They would also name call us like cowards and undeserving brats. The band teacher is nice but the funding for our school is bad, only the "smart" kids would get things like their own textbooks and fancy computers and parts and trips. we would get reused books and nasty broken Chromebooks. They let their students fight for a few minutes before deciding to break it up. People were regularly having sex. Some were doing drugs. They all harassment to a certain degree. If you die oh well! There is a strong chance you won't be able to have a seat at graduation.Other Review1y ago

"We lived in the neighborhood for 3 years and we love it. It is very quiet where we live, we forgot to lock the door at night or when leave for work but none bothers. The people are friendly and looking out for each other, there are areas that has crime."

"There is a shooting in this area at least 4 times a week. This is not an area for a family with children. There are always fights going on in the streets. "

"There are 2 parks and a marina near by that the dog and owner may enjoy. Traffic is around 35 mph so not too crazy to enjoy your walk"

"I’ve lived in Hopewell for many years, went to school here, now my daughter is going to high school. Definitely some not so nice areas of the city but luckily I’m still in the quieter nicer areas."

"There are several schools within walking distance. There is a private school in the area. There is no real sense of community here. People walk through your yard and on your property despite signs."

"The events at the Beacon are great, and the new restaurants and businesses bring more life back into downtown. I've worked in area for almost 7 years and like the small town feel, even if movies are filmed here. some neighborhoods are suspect, but most neighbors look out for each other. "
