"It’s an amazing neighbourhood with a very low crime rate and plenty of natural life. I doubt there are many neighborhoods around that could match this. "

"It’s a different, and also better, neighborhood than most others in many ways. Lots are big and the setting is very rural despite this being a short drive from many bustling towns. "

"My neighborhood is dog-friendly, but we don’t have sidewalks like other neighborhoods do. I’m not aware of any dog parks in Great Falls - but there’s one in nearby Reston. Lots of good veterinarians in Great Falls. "

"We have excellent public schools in Great Falls. There are also many local sports leagues for kids to take part in, and lots of playgrounds and parks. "

"There aren't sidewalks by Georgetown Pike or Seneca road so unless you have a huge neighborhood you may have to drive somewhere first to take your dog on a proper walk. Additionally, most neighborhoods do not have lampposts."

"I lived in GF from 1998 to 2017 and loved the hood. Taxes got more & more expensive though and due to family issues we sold the house."

"I have lived and worked here for over 30 years, my 3 children went to Great Falls Elementary then went on to Gonzaga College High School, The Connelly School of the Holy Child - then William and Mary, Marymount , and University of Kentucky. The low density makes one feel like they are entering a little piece of heaven! We are from the Midwest. Great Falls has breathing room, excellent schools, friendly people, and the natural boundary of the river which helps preserve it's unique character."

"For a decade, we considered carefully whether to move our young and growing family from east McLean, where I was raised, graduating from O'Connell HS. Although McLean was pleasant, moving our family to a home with acreage in Great Falls in 2003, has been a dream come true. Great Falls turned out to be as close as we wanted to be to Tysons, DC, convenient to my business in Arlington, and points west including DIA and DCA when we head out of town. Our neighbors are friendly, and love it here just as we do; yet, we have all the privacy we want. Fairfax county schools are excellent, especially Great Falls Elementary. The local parks , trails and Turner Farm are a dream come true for the equestrians and athletes in the family, and nearly every weekend feels like a vacation. My commute to my Arlington office in 20 minutes non-rush, when I leave by 7am to avoid most traffic or slowdowns from the school buses, even then I usually arrive in Ballston by 7:35. We chose strategically, to live near Great Falls ES so that everything, including school activities, sports, the library, and shops in the Village would be very walkable for us, even when it snows, and we LOVE when it snows! Now that our oldest 2 are driving, being close to the Village means we don't worry about them driving on the curvy roads prevalent in some parts of Great Falls during inclement weather. We are affirmed daily of our choice, the quality of life, education, and enjoyment we are afforded by living here. Our home is our sanctuary, our work easily left behind, we have the space, time and ample opportunity to enjoy the beautiful view, often enjoying early weekday walks and trail rides, all without the noise and traffic of most suburban neighborhoods. Heck, we regularly watch shooting stars while relaxing in our spa at night, yet we're close enough to cultural events in DC with an enjoyable drive via the Geo Washington Pkwy. "
