8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen my grandson was sent to this school its because he had emotional issues from a Chromosome malfunction.He eventually was tested and we PAID for that with an outside testing facility.He ultimately was put in special education.This experience has left him permanently traumatized and he still talks about it to this day.This school had a padded room for emotional behavior issues. If a child goes into a meltdown ( as these children do through no fault of their own) they were held either in a vice sort of grip or locked in a padded room.Looking back we now know we should have put him in a school better educated and equipped to handle children such as my grandson. It all started in kindergarten when we realized something wasn't as it should be. He will NEVER EVER RECOVER HOW HE WAS TREATED HERE.NONE OF THE TEACHERS THERE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION ACTUALLY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. This cause PTSD on top of his overloaded anxiety he suffered from No, Go to a school for its specialty of taking care of children with special needs. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids had a great career at BRMS. They are both in high school now and were very well prepared as a result of their studies at BRMS. "Not much public transportation but if you’re looking to metro into the city it’s not super far. Traffic on the highway can be a nightmare during the weekday but inside the city it’s not bad"

"The commute is treacherous. Heading to DC is a horrible experience. Route 66 is plagued with traffic and tolls. Additionally, DMV drivers do not obey the laws. Coming from PA/NJ, these are by far the worse drivers. Individuals will jump 4 lanes to exit at the last minute. I’ve seen people driving onto and exit ramp for a highway...worse part about it all is that these very same people aren’t even remotely concerned. They have zero regard for other people’s safety or the law as a whole. "

"Gainesville VA is a rapidly growing community full of young families. The elementary schools are still good, but we chose private school for both middle and high school due to crowding. As Gainesville grows, there are many more amenities and things to do. Road traffic is only heavy for a brief time during rush hours. All in all, it’s been a wonderful place to raise our family."

"Really quiet neighborhood convenient to shopping, dining, and the freeway. Single family community on one side and condo/townhomes on the other. Decent community center and a new Lieftime gym less than a half mile away. Great weekend relaxer with minimum traffic. "

"Gainesville is a great community it borders Manassas and Haymarket. It’s a growing town so new businesses are popping up frequently. Traffic is only major issue once you leave Gainesville which would be I66. Busy busy Interstate "

"Ive lived here for over 10 years and can only name like 5 ‘events’ that have happened here lol. The more that the city has developed the more crime there’s been but the only repetitive nuisance has been car break ins when leaving your car unlocked (so lock your car). "

"People in this neighborhood are super friendly. We have neighborhood events and BBQ's, look out for each other's children, kids are always outside riding bikes. This area is very safe and my whole family loves living here."

"Their are two easily accessible routes to 66. Close access to routes 28 and 50. Back roads can often be taken to avoid any traffic. If you work the usual business hours, you’re bound to get stuck in traffic regularly. However, the fact you can actually spread out and relax here without city noise and with a sense of community is well worth the commute. "
