"Not familiar with any events. Maybe the fireworks once a year. No other events i heard of. Schools seems to be suffering with not enough financial support from the government. That stands out to me"

"Great location in the heart of Fairfax City. Nice quite area with so much to do within walking distance and still close enough to all major road outlets, 66, 495 and 95. Metro rail too for easy access to work in the District of Columbia or shopping in Tyson’s Corner!!!!"

"Used to live here...lots of restaurants in Olde Towne Fairfax. City government much friendlier than Ffax Cty and many services offered for free that County does not. Shopping close by at Fair Oaks Mall. Wegmans & Walmart within a few blocks...good commute location...near Rte 50, I-66, 495, Rte 28 and Ffax Cty Pkwy. Homes are smallish compared to new homes today...would work for family with small children or couple looking for starter home."

"Love this city! We walk to parks, shops, restaurants and school, where we run into friendly neighbors along the way. Everything is so close, yet we feel like we live in the quiet suburbs. It's the perfect blend of the two. A great place to raise a family and still so close to D.C."
