4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMonticello High School is filled with devoted teachers, counselors and community dedication. The selection of academics provide students who are challenged as well as those who are scholars that continue with endless opportunities in their futures. The excellence in teaching along with guidance truly has made me a proud parent of the following: Stone-Robinson Elementary, Jackson P. Burley Middle School, Walton Middle School, Monticello High School.Parent Review9y ago - Paul H Cale Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe TA's (teaching assistants) nurses office, cafeteria staff and even janitorial truly care about the kids but the teacher and the administration are absolutely terrible in dealing with the students. As you can see by the fact that the school is performing in the bottom 20% in the state and the bottom 15% in the country. Spending 20K per student and getting these results should have parents with pitchforks showing up at the school board but the school board and the supervisors just let half of the schools in this county be dumpsters while the rich kids in the Crozet area, like Brownsville and and at Western Albemarle High School get the Taj Mahal schools my kids are bused from way south to go to this hellhole of a school. (Nice facilities, equipment and furniture, do not make up for incompetent staff.Parent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 1557 Ambrose Commons Dr.

"Street gatherings are the best. Also love community activities at the community pool, food trucks, social media connections and nature trail."
- Corey Day

"This city could do some work. The streets are too narrow. Highway 29 is too chaotic and out of place. Charlottesville is too small to have a 8 lane road"

"Close to U V A, downtown, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and everything C’ville but surrounded by nature. We have the best of both worlds! I can not believe how many good supermarkets we have in the area. There are so many nature trails for walking and hiking. "

"Nothing unless you want to count the crime!!! The Spark is a terrible place to live! Gone through countless managers with everyone promising to make a change and the only thing that changes is the staff. Nothing gets fixed and the current office manager is rude. There is a serious rodent issue that everybody ignores and continually sends the insect companies to spray just so they can say they are doing something. Can’t wait to leave!!!"

"Medium to large homes (1500 - 4000 sq ft) built mostly in the 1970s. The houses are well built and are not all the same. There is mature tree over, a lot of wildlife (especially birds) and wide streets. The neighborhood has an optional neighbors association that organizes picnics and holiday parties. The best part is that Canterbury Hills is close to both UVA and downtown. You’ll never have to drive more than 10 minutes to go just about anywhere in town or immediately surrounding areas. "
