4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is HORRIBLE!!!!! Do NOT EVER send your children here. They will most likely get into all sorts of horrible things such as drugs, drinking, smoking, GANGS, and more. This school is absolutely the worst and the teachers are very disrespectful and rude to parents AND students. They don't care about the students in the school but the money. This school has test scores WAY below average and same as graduation rate/success. Graduates are failing crucial classes to succeed with there careers and this is all due to the things they were "taught" in high school. They have been trying for many years to get rates up but it CLEARLY hasn't been working. This school is one of the worst in the county.Other Review8mo ago - Washington Mill Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Principals and Leading Staff are incredibly respectful, sensitive, responsive and focused. Be their example the entire school has established a culture of learning and respect. This school has a unique diversity of income, ethnicity, languages which the school embraces and uses as a strength. The parents and families who can contribute or volunteer often do, and it benefits everyone. The building is in excellent condition on a quiet Mt Vernon street. In 2021-22 the school was completely renovated and expanded thanks to a bond which Fairfax county voters supported.Parent Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 8416 Eureka Ct #113.

"None that I know off. You have to go to Old Town which is 1-1/2 to 2 miles away for community events (and for a weekly Saturday Farmer’s Market asked about in earlier question)."

"Although there are nice parks where I live, most of the family friendly neighborhoods reside in an enclosed neighborhood called Cameron Station. There is a beautiful library and it's close to Van Dorn Metro. There is a lot of traffic and some have pockets that are unsafe. The area is not pedestrian friendly. Lots of dog parks. Not stroller friendly. Eisenhower seems to have the least amount of crime but it is a busy street during the day. LA Mart is a great source for Asian groceries. The area has almost everything you need in a short distance. Schools aren't rated the best."

"Lots of open grass areas within walking distance and all well lit and frequented by many locals makes it a safe and convenient neighborhood for dog owners. Most properties including townhomes in this area also include fenced-in backyards which provide relief during the day or while away; most townhome communities also have common grassy areas for homeowners to use."
