5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is currently in Kindergarten here. The school is wonderful. The principal Ms. Williams is passionate and friendly. She goes to just about every event. She truly cares about children and it shows. My child's teacher, Ms. Birkenstock, is also fantastic. My son wants to go to school and is always very excited to see his teacher. His class also has ipads for every student, I was surprised to see how much better and more independent he has gotten with technology. The PTA is on the smaller side, but they do put on great events with the funding that they do have. I strongly recommend this school, I think this is a great example showing how a school can perform well and serve its students even with significant portion of the children coming from low income families.Parent Review1y ago - Edison High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student at Edison from 2015 to 2019 and I had a great time there. I had supportive teachers and counselors. Overall, Edison is a great school and I recommend this school to my fellow people.Other Review6mo ago - Holmes Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school's only problems is the environment of the students and some not so great teachers. I was lucky to have some great teachers to learn by, but there would be so many fights nearly every month. And that affected everyone by having them not feel safe or dealing with a consequence. Of course every school has it's ups and down, but I would not recommend this school for your child's emotional well-being. Trust me when I say depending on the middle school changes your child's point of view.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 5302 Arapaho Ln.

"None that I know off. You have to go to Old Town which is 1-1/2 to 2 miles away for community events (and for a weekly Saturday Farmer’s Market asked about in earlier question)."

"Although there are nice parks where I live, most of the family friendly neighborhoods reside in an enclosed neighborhood called Cameron Station. There is a beautiful library and it's close to Van Dorn Metro. There is a lot of traffic and some have pockets that are unsafe. The area is not pedestrian friendly. Lots of dog parks. Not stroller friendly. Eisenhower seems to have the least amount of crime but it is a busy street during the day. LA Mart is a great source for Asian groceries. The area has almost everything you need in a short distance. Schools aren't rated the best."

"Lots of open grass areas within walking distance and all well lit and frequented by many locals makes it a safe and convenient neighborhood for dog owners. Most properties including townhomes in this area also include fenced-in backyards which provide relief during the day or while away; most townhome communities also have common grassy areas for homeowners to use."
