3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWish I could say great things about this school; sadly, the teachers over overworked and apathetic, the parents uninvolved, even the safety of my student is a constant worry of mine. Academics are poor, lots of review of old material until it's time for CRTs, then they inundate students with new material. There are some great individuals here, but this school needs a lot of help.Parent Review12y ago - West High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is no policy that will make students go to class in place. My daughter learned early on how easy it is to sluff... Yes we had discussions... but kids are sluffing and walking around the school during class and nothing is being done about it. My daughter has been in trouble because of the teachers lack of getting assignments graded on time. Poor communication between parents and teachers as they never email you back about student progress or anything else. Fighting is always happening, and I feel a big part of that is because these kids are not going to class, nor are they being forced to.Parent Review1mo ago - Escalante School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school itself is Amazing. My now 4th grader used to LOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE it there until this year. She comes home every day depressed and after asking why she tells me how her teacher is getting frustrated about her being too shy. If someone is shy then they are shy. They have to open on their own. You can’t force it. And if students are going home depressed at the age of 9 then maybe one should question their profession. She says her teacher doesn’t encourage them if they have wrong answer she will just be like nope your wrong instead of saying that’s a good try but let’s try again. The problem is that all her previous teachers were that way and then she gets one more straight forward And it’s hard to swallow. And this new way of math. Blah. If my daughter needs help with her homework, I’m going to teach her how I learned because sometimes looking it up doesn’t help me to explain it to her. So the old way it is! The old way works. You know if it’s not broke then don’t fix it. I know that each state is different but my nephew who lives a couple states over learned the math my 4th grader is learning in 6th grade honours math. So either where he lives they are baby stepping it or where we live they are trying to advance them so they can score higher on state testing. But at the cost of students mental health. Not cool. I would highly recommend this school but only have to say is watch your students and if they start acting differs then ask why because nobody should feel bad about being somewhere or feel that uncomfortable about being there. Thank you!Parent Review2y ago - Innovations High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageInnovations early college high school is very underrated in the state but it's very good. You can get help in anything whether it's emotional or academics. There are tutors who can help you in your assignments as well as your mentors, plus teachers and staff. They will help you achieve your academic goals, whether it's graduating early or not, taking college classes early etc. I really do recomend this school. You even have stufy periods where you can work individually. it's not like other high schools where you have 4 periods a day and 2 hours a class. They as well offer classes at the nearby high schools that innovations doesn't have. It's a very welcoming school and easy to make friends no one judges. And parents/guardians get updates on the students assignments and grades etc.Student Review1y ago - Innovations K-8

"They love the clean atmosphere they walk their dogs. Plus they pick after themselves. The dog owners also love knowing that there are also dogs around and their owners so they can converse and know that it is a safe area for their dogs."

"After almost 5 yrs of living here, I have no problems with the area. The area has a bad reputation, but I've only had a couple minor issues. Love to walk the dog, go running, parks close by, shopping not too far. "
