7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child attended this school K-6, and grades 4-6 were awful. The newer principal is so oblivious to the amount of disrespect and bullying coming from the teachers. Fighting and bullying between students are tolerated without consequence.Parent Review1y ago - Highland High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs an alumni and now parent, I love Highland. There is a sense of community and some of the faculty and administrators were students themselves when I was there in the 90s. My child has made friends with good kids who have an eye toward the future, though granted not every kid there appreciates what they have, the majority are decent kids. The only concern is safety, which is a problem everywhere these days. The administration is solid and always helpful, relatively good communication with parents. I am glad my kids are continuing the Ram legacy!Parent Review7mo ago - Hillside Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was awful in almost every way possible. I went here for middle school and I would not recommend anyone going here. The faculty does not treat students as people here. Many students felt like they were trapped here for a few hours every day and were taught more than anywhere else to not think for themselves. The teachers gave out more home work than some AP classes and didn't teach students anything during class. There have been math teachers spending the entire period talking about their kids or any other type of personal matter that should not be discussed during a lecture only to give out a couple of pages of busy work at the end of class and having them complete it as homework. When I was in seventh grade I was in the basic classes here. These classes were filled with people who didn't want to learn and constantly disrupted class but if someone was finished with their work and went on their phone, their parents would have to pick it up. This caused many problems since some parents couldn't pick it up or might have been contacting their kid. I didn't try to get into higher level classes at the end of elementary school so my first year there I didn't learn anything except in a college career class. Those classes are the best part of this school. They are classes that teach students about writing a check and jobs that they might be interested in. One of the worst things here is the hall sweep. This is a thing where all the teachers lock their doors the moment the bell rings and if a student is even 30 seconds late to class then they have to go to the office, call their parents, and read a script to make them seem like they were doing something wrong. The reason these students couldn't get to class was because backpacks were not allowed in class which meant that students had 4 minutes to run across the school and drop stuff off at their locker and run back to the other side of the school and these were the only times besides lunch students were allowed to use the restroom and if one student was talking at the end of class then the rest of the class could do forced to stay there for an extra two minutes. If students want to be on their phone during lunch they have to pay 5 dollars or else it will be taken. These are just a few of the things I thought of about the school. Over all, I would not recommend anyone going here.Student Review6y ago - Innovations High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageInnovations early college high school is very underrated in the state but it's very good. You can get help in anything whether it's emotional or academics. There are tutors who can help you in your assignments as well as your mentors, plus teachers and staff. They will help you achieve your academic goals, whether it's graduating early or not, taking college classes early etc. I really do recomend this school. You even have stufy periods where you can work individually. it's not like other high schools where you have 4 periods a day and 2 hours a class. They as well offer classes at the nearby high schools that innovations doesn't have. It's a very welcoming school and easy to make friends no one judges. And parents/guardians get updates on the students assignments and grades etc.Student Review1y ago - Innovations K-8
