This is a very good school in my opinion, there's been improvements with test scores. I've been to this school before I think it's great for sure. I love the teachers for sure, there amazing, sometimes there not in the best mood, but they make sure they don't take it out on students:).

The way to describe this school is absolute chaos. With fighting in the halls, students getting jumped in the bathroom, little to no care about the students well-being, and constant scrutinizing about the dress code, especially to females, this school is a piece of work. With the weather recently being in the hundreds, girls are scared to wear shorts, because they don’t want to go through the ordeal of being “dress coded.” Getting “dress coded” for shorts 1/8 of an inch “too short” and being sent to ISS, means missing valuable learning time. The “dress code” policy has gotten to the point of harassment of female students and a hostile school environment.

I love this school for my two girls. We moved here in 2015 and my oldest was going into first grade, we are now in our 4th year here and my oldest is in 4th grade and my youngest is in 2nd. I have nothing but good things to say about Ben Milam. Due to the diverse school population, I think the school makes great strides to make all students feel comfortable and safe. Within the last two years, there has been a new principal and she has been a fantastic addition to the school and its staff. There are a variety of clubs for the kids to join and my girls have taken advantage of all of them! My youngest was having trouble reading and I asked to have her tested for dyslexia and had nothing but support from her teacher, the asst principal as well as other teachers at the school. Both of my girls enjoy school, have a lot of fun in the special classes (PE, Library, Computers and Art). I am happy they have a good educational base as we are moving on to our next base. I would recommend this school.

My student graduated recently (22). I have been very pleased with Rider high...especially considering how poorly the school board and superintendent mismanaged the district. It is comforting to know that Rider maintained its high standards. [ 92 students of the more than 300 graduating class had a 4.0 gpa or higher. ]CLEARLY, the teachers are working hard to help the students achieve. Academics are prioritized and all students have oppotunities to grow and find enrichment. Rider has amazing fine arts..Theatre, Visual Arts, Dance Band, Orchestra, and Choir each earning many state homors. Athletics is competitive and usually makes playoffs in all sports. My child always felt they were important and safe at school. Thanks Rider!!
